As talented as they are, the hard-working ladies of BINI are a lot more than just the personas they present on stage. Just look at Jhoanna Robles, the group’s leader. Beyond her stage presence and charisma, Jhoanna is also a gifted public speaker and budding news presenter and journalist, a talent she’s been honing since she was in school, which made her see pursuing a profession in journalism as a potential option aside from being part of BINI. And it’s a skill she showed off once more during BINI’s recent appearance on the FOX 11 Los Angeles morning news show Good Day LA.

Following their historic Coachella performance, BINI has been booked and busy with activities in Los Angeles. Most recently, the Nation’s Girl Group guested on Good Day LA, where they talked about, among other things, their time at Coachella, their new EP Signals, and their upcoming world tour, for which they just revealed the international dates.

But for viewers who tuned into the program to check the weather update, they were in for a surprise when host Maria Quiban Whitesell invited Jhoanna to help her deliver the weather news. Despite some initial jitters, Jhoanna was able to be a weather forecaster and help present the Friday morning forecast. She got to cross off a dream on her bucket list thanks to Good Day LA, even for just a little bit.

This isn’t Jhoanna’s first time to present on a news program, as she was tapped to present on TV Patrol twice. She was chosen to be a Star Patroller, and for one of her news segments, Jhoanna wrote the script, did the VO, and edited and produced the video package. Now, reporting the weather on an international news program is a definite step-up for Jhoanna. In another life, the P-pop idol would have made for a great TV news reporter, but that isn’t to say she cannot work on that side of her while as a member of BINI, given the multi-hyphenate that she is.

The moment marks the latest achievement for BINI this past month. Aside from Coachella, the group also performed and was interviewed at the GRAMMY Museum. Later this week, they’re slated to attend the 2026 Billboard Women In Music, where they’ll be just the second Filipina artist in history to receive the Global Force award and be honored alongside other global female musicians like Laufey, Zara Larsson, and HUNTR/X.
