As the Philippines prepares to host leaders and diplomats from 11 countries that make up the membership of ASEAN for the upcoming 49th ASEAN Summit in Manila later this November, regional cooperation, growth, and collaboration are set to take the spotlight. But ASEAN 2026 goes beyond politicians trying to find common solutions for the common good, as it is also a moment when the region comes together through culture, creativity, and a shared identity. It’s particularly potent this year with the Philippines serving as the host nation of the 2026 ASEAN Summit, as Filipino art plays a major role in fostering regional understanding. Helping lead the way are SB19 and BINI.

As modern cultural powerhouses and the country’s newest tourism ambassadors, the groups are uniquely positioned to use their music, platform, and P-pop to bring people together and celebrate the best of Southeast Asia. It’s a mission that can be heard, felt, and seen with their original songs for the event and its related activities and gatherings. Even in a time when there are those who seek to divide, SB19 and BINI are helping prove that there is still a lot more that we have in common.

SB19 Inspires to Move as One With the Official ASEAN Anthem

kings SB19 are no strangers to carrying and spotlighting Filipino culture on the world stage and advocating for collective progress. And that thrust continues as the boy group was chosen as the performers of Together in Motion, the official song for ASEAN 2026. Composed by Anya Lagman and arranged by Jimmy Antiporda and Louie Ocampo, the track is an anthem about envisioning a united region where each nation is hand in hand in shared growth and development.

The song highlights how Southeast Asia is at its best when it strives to work together, which is what the ASEAN Summit is ideally all about. Its music video continues that energy as it shows SB19 recording the single in the studio alongside picturesque scenery from all 11 ASEAN member states. It’s a moment not just for SB19 as an official part of ASEAN, but for in general, in how the growing subgenre becomes a medium to impact and inspire in the Philippines and beyond.

BINI Champions Togetherness as One Region

In partnership with the Department of Tourism and in honor of the Philippines as this year’s ASEAN chair, BINI released a new single titled Sama-Sama Tayo. The inspirational, uplifting, and upbeat pop song, which was composed by Ejay Yatco, Paw Castillo, and Moophs, with the latter also producing the track, is both a tribute to the major event and the country’s place in the festivities, as it champions the theme of “Navigating Our Future, Together”.

To that end, the Nation’s Girl Group sings about coming together, celebrating shared experiences, and finding common ground despite the differing cultures. It is in finding meaningful connection in diversity that makes Southeast Asia a better and stronger community. The single’s music video also reflects this, as it shows BINI singing the track in the recording studio while showcasing the Philippines’ many tourist destinations and natural wonders, from Palawan to Siargao and everywhere in between, and also spotlighting the other member nations of Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Timor-Leste, and Brunei Darussalam.
