New York Fashion Week kicked off Fashion Month with all the usual fanfare: standout collections, beauty moments, and a front row filled with names worth knowing. But beyond the runways, Asia’s presence was impossible to miss. Asian style stars and the Asian diaspora showed up across the city, bringing their distinct perspectives, personal style, and cultural heritage to the New York fashion scene.

Philippines
Heart Evangelista was among the familiar faces bringing Filipino style to New York, making her way from show to show and crossing paths with fellow Filipina talent Bella Poarch at Prabal Gurung. Meanwhile, tennis star Alex Eala stepped into a different kind of spotlight, making her Fashion Week debut at Tory Burch, Calvin Klein, and Michael Kors.
Joining them were model Kelsey Merritt, who took her front-row seats at Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors, and Carolina Herrera, and R’Bonney Gabriel, who made appearances at AKNVAS, Dauphinette, and Veejay Floresca.
Thailand
Meanwhile, Thai stars brought their own brand of front-row glamour to New York. Love Pattranite was spotted at Coach, while Lingling Kwong took her seat at Calvin Klein. Over at Ralph Lauren, Juné Plearnpichaya leaned into rich brown tones and textured styling for a look that felt right at home in the American fashion capital.
China
Women of Chinese heritage brought a diverse range of style to New York, spanning actresses, athletes, and creators. At Anna Sui, Alysa Liu and Chase Sui Wonders brought their own takes on feminine dressing, while Olympic gymnast Sunisa Lee leaned into a playful preppy moment at Tommy Hilfiger, pairing a sharp blazer with a tweed skirt.
Over at Calvin Klein, Gemma Chan, Chinese-Malaysian actress Lily Chee, and creator Tingting Lee took their seats in the front row.
At Coach, singer Cherry “Snow” Kong brought the color in red and plaid. Chinese-German actress Highdee Kuan followed suit with a striking red suit at Michael Kors, while Gao Yuanyuan brought her own brand of glamour to the front row at Ralph Lauren.
South Korea
Korean women brought plenty of star power to New York Fashion Week, with K-pop idols and actresses turning the front rows into fashion moments of their own. Jisoo, Girls’ Generation-HRS, Kiii Kiii, i-dle’s Soyeon, MEOVV’s Ella Gross, and actresses Jeon Yeo-been, Gong Hyo-jin, and Park Gyu-young were among the names making appearances across the shows. Lana Condor and singer Rei Ami also joined the lineup, bringing even more star power to the week.
Korean influence extends beyond the celebrity front row. Fashion creators Irene Kim and Jihoon Kim returned to the Big Apple, while the Ha sisters made their Fashion Week debut at Coach.
Japan
Japanese women brought an eclectic mix of polished, relaxed, playful, and edgy dressing to New York. Actresses Moeka Hoshi, Kiko Mizuhara, Miku Martineau, and Haruka Fukuhara made their presence known across the city, while NANA dancer Koharu and singer Lilas Ikuta brought a little more edge to the shows, particularly at Coach.
India
Indian women brought their own cool-girl sensibility to New York, from actress Avantika to designer Diya Joukani, whose fashion-forward style has made waves online. Joining them were Padma Lakshmi and The Pitt star Supriya Ganesh.
Indonesia, Hong Kong, and Malaysia
Hong Kong’s fashion crowd was represented by Fashion Week mainstay Steph Hui, whose fashion and beauty content has built a strong following online. Fellow creator and designer Jenny Tsang and singer Gigi Yim also made appearances throughout the week.
Indonesian actresses Yasmin Napper and Syifa Hadju made their way through New York together, attending Coach and bringing their distinct approaches to fashion to the Fashion Week circuit. Malaysian creator and Phlur founder Chriselle Lim brought her own fashion-industry perspective to New York, taking her place among the week’s front-row crowd.
With every season, Asia’s presence at New York Fashion Week continues to grow—and so does the range of talent showing up for it.
