Who said New York Fashion Week is boring? Beauty-wise, designers are having a party—and everyone’s invited. Backstage, on the runway, and even after the show, the beauty looks are bringing the energy. Crimped hair is making a comeback, eyeliner is taking over the entire waterline, skin is settling into a soft-matte finish, and post-club hair is making its way onto the runway.
Get the glitter and hairspray ready. Spring/Summer 2027 is about to be a party.

Crimped Hair
To everyone’s surprise, crimped hair is making its way back onto the scene. It’s coming in waves at Anna Sui, while Christian Siriano and Christian Cowan are taking a more selective approach, incorporating crimped texture in parts of the hair. Either way, it’s a sign to dig your crimpers out of the closet.

A Bold Accent
The runway is taking a turn toward the bold, dark, and alt. Thom Browne’s vinyl lips, Michael Kors’ pop of color, Kim Shui’s stark eyeliner, and Diane Von Furstenberg’s bold eye looks bring a punk-inspired edge to the beauty lineup. Whether you’re reaching for a statement lip or an intense eye, the message is clear: subtlety can take a backseat.

Glowing Skin
The clean-girl glow isn’t stepping down anytime soon. Across NYFW, models’ skin was luminous, catching the light with every turn. Think fresh, radiant skin that looks as though it belongs under a disco ball—proof that the glow continues to hold its own among the season’s beauty trends.

Bed Head
Beauty doesn’t stop after a night of partying—or after you hit the bed. According to Coach and Khaite, bed head is just as stylish as the night before. Tousled texture, undone volume, and that just-woke-up finish bring a little after-hours energy to the runway.

New York opened Fashion Month with a pop, and just like its runway beauty looks, the party is only getting started.
