The wait is over. The red book has finally landed in the Philippines, and with it comes a new hierarchy of Filipino dining. After years of hush-hush auditions and anonymous inspections—truly a high-stakes casting call in food—the inaugural Michelin Guide Philippines selection has been unveiled. Not only does this signal that the Filipino palate is no longer a “rising star”, but it also shows that we are now woven into the fabric of world-class excellence.
The guide’s inspectors scoured kitchens across Manila, Cebu, Pampanga, Tagaytay, and Cavite, selecting a total of 108 establishments for inclusion. But the only numbers that truly matter are the stars themselves.
The New Culinary Elite

Helm by Josh Boutwood made history as the sole and first restaurant to be awarded Two Michelin Stars in the Philippines. This singular achievement instantly places Helm at the very top of the country’s dining scene. It’s the pinnacle of prestige, and frankly, we love to see one of our own claim it.

The Conscious Cuisine and Essential Players

A truly developed culinary scene doesn’t just focus on technical brilliance. Ethics and the people who make the system function matter, too. Gallery by Chele received the distinguished Michelin Green Star, honoring the chef’s commitment to embodying high sustainability and ethical practices.

On the other hand, individual talents were also given their moment because behind every polished plate is a dedicated human being:
- The Young Chef Award went to the visionary Don Patrick Baldosano of Linamnam.
- The essential Service Award was earned by Erin Recto of Hapag. It’s recognition for the seamless professionalism and graceful hospitality that elevates a meal from dining to a genuine experience.
- The Exceptional Cocktails Award was presented to Benjamin Leal of Uma Nota.
