Everyone talks about the clothes during Paris Fashion Week, but what about the bags? Most—if not all—of the iterations during F/W26 were simply too good to ignore. There were those that swung and those that looked suspiciously ready to pinch back. To put it simply, this season was not short of new arm candy.
Classic constructions were pulled apart and rewired, exotic skins were rendered in dreamy hues, and hardware took on a life of its own in the case of a certain runway’s more-is-more approach to straps and clasps. You could tell that each featured bag honored its maison’s codes while having fun. And you know what? Despite critics having reservations regarding major fashion labels taking a step outside established house identities, irreverence adds character.
