It’s a conscious, consistent act that shows up in small yet sincere gestures. You’re precious, thus you must be cared for. And every day, in every choice they make, they think of you and what matters to you because it now matters to them, too.
Clothing may seem like an unlikely place for such tenderness, but what we wear has always depended on this shared attentiveness. Jojie Lloren’s latest project, J. Lloren Editions, treats design as this exact kind of dialogue. Its inaugural collection brings together the block prints of Joey Cobcobo, the photographs of Kim Montes, and the woven craft of SC Vizcarra—each contributor sharing their own form of care.

Across the 25-piece collection, Lloren’s relaxed tailoring and neutral palette give Cobcobo, Montes, and Vizcarra plenty of breathing room. Wide trousers accompany a cropped black jacket with a pale photographic patch, while loose shirts fall into asymmetric hems. Dresses hang away from the body in soft volumes, interrupted by cutouts and unexpected slips of contrasting fabric.

Lloren intends to create slowly, primarily upon order. Once the garments are complete, the contributors won’t be forgotten.
As these designs are meant to be collectibles, each item will be individually numbered and authenticated, with its provenance entered into the House Archive. Additionally, a portion of the proceeds from every edition will contribute to the J. Lloren Editions Artist Fund. Its proposed initiatives include creative grants and artist royalties, with future efforts intended to support mentorship or the documentation of Philippine craft.
Through this project, Jojie Lloren presents a sincere definition of what it means to truly, deeply, and sustainably love Filipino fashion.
