From the heart of Thailand’s entertainment industry to the streets of Paris, actress and model Freen Sarocha commanded attention during Paris Fashion Week. Every step on the cobblestone street was met with flashing cameras, drawn to her elegant and sophisticated style. But beyond the glamour and the flashing lights, what led her to become one of the most influential global stars today?

An Unconventional Start
Sarocha first came into the spotlight as a finalist in the well-known beauty pageant Miss Teen Thailand 2016. While she didn’t win the crown, her participation opened several doors of opportunity, including hosting the pageant itself. A year later, she got her first acting gig in The Toys’ music video, “Before Rain.” It garnered over 67 million views and launched her into the entertainment industry.

She steadily built a name in the Thai entertainment industry, taking on one lead role after the other. What thrust her to stardom, however, was the Girls Love genre.
Queen of Thai GL
Freen got her big break in 2022 when she starred in Thailand’s first mainstream Girls’ Love (or GL) series Gap: The Series, which surpassed 800 million views on YouTube. Her role as Sam earned her international fame and multiple Best Actress awards. The series also solidified her chemistry with co-star Rebecca Patricia Armstrong, which formed the popular love team “FreenBecky.” The two partnered up again for the series The Loyal Pin and the film Uranus 2324. With her significant contributions to advancing Girls’ Love in Thailand, she was dubbed the “Queen of GL.”
The GL genre was only the beginning of the global influence. Beyond acting, Freen’s influence extends to another major industry—fashion.
A Rising Fashion Figure
Her influence in fashion earned her several invitations to prestigious events, such as the 77th Cannes Film Festival and Paris Fashion Week, where she was a VIP guest in Valentino’s show last September. In January 2025, she made history as Valentino’s first Thai female brand ambassador and debuted at Valentino’s F/W25 show during Paris Fashion Week.

Early this month, Sarocha and her co-star Armstrong also walked for Darich’s S/S25 show at Tokyo Girls Collection 2025, showcasing their undeniable chemistry and charisma on the runway.
But Sarocha’s success isn’t just limited to entertainment and fashion—she is also a savvy businesswoman.
Bleeding Into Business
In 2021, Sarocha launched an online candle boutique called Lightnight Candles, where she sells handmade, 100% soy wax candles. These candles feature scents such as Rose Garden, After The Rain, Jasmine, and more. Her second business is NinetyTwo, a streetwear clothing brand that offers graphic shirts, bags, and apparel with minimalist designs.

Sarocha’s influence has impressively expanded to lifestyle and fashion based on her businesses. Managing two businesses alongside her ventures in media and fashion only proves how passionate and driven she is, both as an actress and entrepreneur.
A Shining Star
Freen Sarocha’s rise to stardom is a testament to her talent, versatility, and influence. She may have had an unconventional start in the industry, but her acting prowess pushed her towards stardom. Whether you admire her GL works, fashion sense, or entrepreneurial spirit, she’s a star worth following.
