For over two decades, global fashion icon and multi-hyphenate Heart Evangelista has had her fair share of supporters. Supporters have come and gone—some offering encouragement, others criticism—but a few have remained constant. With a career now spanning 25 years, she has become deliberate in choosing the people she keeps close, but also the essentials she relies on daily—like Avon’s Dream Curve Bras, designed to give women effortless support and comfort.

Q: My first question is, what does support look like for you today in your relationships, your mindset, and even your daily choices?

A: I don’t think anyone can make it alone. I mean, as women and as individuals, we strive to try to do everything on our own, but in having a support system, you feel like you can really do anything. It’s normal to doubt yourself, but when you have all these angels around you, you feel like you can really conquer the world.

For Heart Evangelista, genuine support is indispensable—both in her career and in the effortless confidence she finds with the new Dream Curve bras.

Q: From television to magazine covers and fashion appearances, your glam and styling team has been by your side through it all. How would you describe the bond you share with them?

A: It all boils down to being comfortable with one another. I also feel like it’s about setting boundaries, but I never really believed in treating my team as just employees. When I work with people, I need to make sure that they know my heart, my weaknesses, my flaws, and my strengths, because we work together as a family, and that really goes a long way.

We’ve been together through tired times, happy times, and good times. And when we achieve something great, we feel like we all made it together.

Q: Looking back on your journey, what role have your fans played in shaping not just your career, but also the person you’ve become?

A: I feel like my fans are my friends. My main assistant, who started out as a fan, has been in my life for 20 years. She was one of the heads of Heartworld when we were still active in Pinoy Exchange, and now she handles everything down to my finances. And we’ve been through so much. She has disappeared a few times in my life because of some choices I’ve made, but she always loved me. She just waited for me to come back to my senses, in a way. And so I have so many of them that I treasure.

But there are some who are like fair-weathered friends—They’re only there when you’re kicking it, you’re killing it, you’re slaying it. When you’re down on the ground, they’re not going to be there for you. So when you’re not with someone that they want you to be, they’re not going to be there for you. Those who truly love you are the ones who love you for who you are, and not just the character that you play on screen.

Q: What’s one piece of advice you’ve received along the way that you still carry with you?

A: My mother would always tell me, “You would rather have a handful of friends than an army of acquaintances,” and it’s the same with your followers.

Not everybody’s going to get you, and really, you only need to hit one person, somebody that you’d make happy, and then that’s all that matters at the end of the day. You’re here to express yourself, and if by chance you make someone happy, then we live in a perfect corner of the world.

Q: How does the phrase, comfort without compromise, reflect the way you live and dress today?

A: Everything is about comfort. They say, “no pain, no gain,” and I still do believe in that in some cases. But as I’ve matured and faced different things in my life, if you’re not yourself, you are not comfortable, no matter how beautiful you are, it’s not going to come out.

Beautiful women are a dime a dozen, but if you’re not confident, if you don’t carry a sincere heart, if you have so many masks that you need to put on to conceal pain, you’re not beautiful. So you’ve got to peel off the mask. You have to be truly confident about who you are, your flaws, your downfalls, your insecurities, your mistakes, and then that’s when you will truly become beautiful.

Q: Avon’s newest Dream Curve Bras offer both structure and comfort with memory foam technology, creating support that feels uniquely yours. Of the pieces in the collection, which one stands out as your favorite, and what makes it special for you?

A: I love Amaya and Anita, both with and without the wire. Sometimes you need a little push in your life, so you wear the support bra with the wire. But honestly, it doesn’t feel like you have a wire. I personally don’t like wired bras, but with this, I feel like I’m not wearing a wire. It automatically gives structure to whatever I wear, even if it’s just a plain T-shirt.

Of course, the one without the wire is also something that I love because I can work out in it. I travel a lot, and it gives me comfort. Even on your off days, you want to be comfortable but still have that confidence. That would be that kind of bra.

For Heart Evangelista, success isn’t measured by the number of shows she attends at Paris Fashion Week or the scale of her endorsements, but by the people who celebrate and endure each milestone with her. And as she continues to evolve as an artist, fashion icon, and global figure, she holds fast to one truth: that success is most meaningful when it’s shared.
