As Solenn Heussaff has become more intentional with her acting roles, the actress has been focusing more of her time on other artistic pursuits, mainly that of her work as a painter. Over the years, what was once just a hobby has become an extension of who Heussaff is as an artist. She’s participated in many local exhibitions, shows, and collaborations, most recently when she unveiled two new artworks, Pamana and Still Growing Wild, at Provenance Art Gallery in Power Plant Mall.
But for her next artistic endeavor, Heussaff goes international as a selection of her paintings will be on display at Paris Art Week as part of a special exhibition highlighting contemporary Philippine art.

Solenn Heussaff Comes to Paris Art Week
Taking a slice of Filipino art overseas, Solenn Heussaff will be among 15 Filipino artists heading to Paris Art Week from October 23-29. Notably, joining Heussaff is fellow actress Heart Evangelista, who normally is in Paris for Fashion Week but will now be in the City of Lights for Art Week as well. Rounding out the artists are Anna Bautista, Cedrick Dela Paz, Demi Padua, Gus Albor, Jana Benitez, Jorge Yulo, Lilianna Manahan, Marrie Saplad, Michelle Perez, Pongbayog, Olivia d’Aboville, Pete Jimenez, and Raffy Napay.
In all, these 15 artists will have their work showcased under Manille A’ Paris: Contemporary Dialogues, which is organized by DF Art Agency and Galerie D’Antoine, in collaboration with FOCUS Asia Contemporary Art. Rather than defining what Filipino art is to a foreign audience, the group exhibition will instead highlight the diverse practices, voices, mediums, and perspectives of the country’s evolving contemporary art scene.
This collective effort, which will showcase the different forms and perspectives within contemporary Philippine art, is a cultural exchange between the Philippines and the international art scene in one of the world’s historic centers for art and culture. The exhibition explores how contemporary art can move beyond traditional geographical boundaries, allowing artists and audiences to encounter different perspectives and realities. Through this exhibition, audiences are invited to engage with the complexity and diversity of Philippine contemporary art while creating space for new dialogues between Manila and Paris.
The chosen contemporary artists reflect practices that are rooted in their individual contexts while engaging with wider global conversations. For Heussaff, that means her work as a manifestation of her thoughts on how we interact with time, nature, and beauty, adding her own perspective to the broader artistic dialogue that the group exhibition seeks to convey. It also marks another opportunity to bring her visual practice into an international setting, this time at a major European art event, as Heussaff continues to hone her craft and identity, not to mention a step closer to one of her artist dreams of having her work be exhibited internationally.
