Asia Ruled the Front Row at Haute Couture Week

Manila, Bangkok, Seoul, Mumbai, and beyond—Asia’s brightest style stars proved that the continent’s influence extends far beyond the runway at Haute Couture Week F/W26.

By

Haute Couture Week was, as always, a spectacle of masterful craftsmanship, artistic vision, and larger-than-life silhouettes. Yet beyond the runway, another show unfolded in the front row. Editors, photographers, and fashion enthusiasts alike turned their attention to the personalities commanding just as much attention as the collections themselves—and once again, Asia arrived not simply as guests, but as some of couture’s most influential tastemakers.

Philippines

Few names are as synonymous with fashion week as Heart Evangelista. The Filipino style icon returned to Paris once again, making appearances at Schiaparelli, Iris Van Herpen, Robert Wun, Zuhair Murad, Georges Hobeika, Fendi, and more—further cementing her place as one of the most recognizable faces of the couture circuit.

Flying the Philippine flag alongside her was Kylie Verzosa, whose couture itinerary included Tony Ward and Stéphane Rolland, where she also reunited with Evangelista. Together, the pair showcased the Philippines’ continued presence on fashion’s grandest stage.

Thailand

Thailand once again delivered one of the week’s strongest front-row showings, balancing longtime fashion week favorites with exciting new faces.

Araya Hargate remained the undisputed queen of the Thai contingent, turning heads everywhere from Dior and Schiaparelli to Chanel and Jean Paul Gaultier. Davika Hoorne also made her rounds across Paris, joined by GL actress Mable Siriwalee at Yanina, Ashi Studio, Stéphane Rolland, Tony Ward, and more.

Making her Haute Couture Week debut was viral creator Aon Somrutai, whose appearances at Germanier and Yanina reflected the growing influence of digital creators within luxury fashion. Meanwhile, Thai-German actress Kimberley Anne Woltemas marked another milestone, attending her first Jonathan Anderson Haute Couture presentation for Dior as one of the house’s ambassadors.

Japan

Japan brought its own distinct fashion personalities to Paris. XG leader Jurin embodied youthful elegance at Chanel, while actress and singer Miki Nakatani represented Dior with timeless sophistication as one of the house’s ambassadors. At Fendi, actress Ko Shibasaki quietly stole attention in a dramatic sheer black ensemble that proved understated styling can be just as memorable.

China

China once again fielded one of the largest and most influential delegations of the week, with stars appearing across nearly every major couture house.

Fashion personalities Becca Bloom and Yi Mengling were fixtures throughout the Paris schedule, while actress Fan Bingbing continued her couture reign—not only attending shows but also walking the runway for Rahul Mishra. Designer Boyu Wang likewise made a statement at both Tony Ward and Rahul Mishra.

Elsewhere, Chanel welcomed actress Fala Chen and singer Shan Yichun, while Dior’s front row featured idol Xin Liu alongside Olympic champion Eileen Gu. Completing China’s impressive presence was actress Li Bingbing at Giorgio Armani Privé.

Korea

Korea may have had fewer attendees this season, but their presence remained undeniable. Singer EJAE appeared at Dior, while Rei Ami took to the runway for Rahul Mishra. Han So-hee, meanwhile, delivered one of the week’s standout beauty moments in a striking pink Dior look—proof that Korea’s influence continues to be defined by impact rather than numbers.

India

India’s influence was felt both on and off the runway. Priyanka Chopra made a bold, orange statement in Dior, while actress Ananya Panday brought a denim moment to Chanel. Model and creator Subiksha Shivakumar turned heads at Rahul Mishra, alongside heiress Isha Ambani, who also attended Manish Malhotra’s couture presentation—underscoring India’s ever-growing relationship with the world’s leading fashion houses.

Rounding out the region’s representation was Singaporean influencer Rurusama, who made her Haute Couture Week debut with appearances at Rahul Mishra, Georges Chakra, and Inclover.

From seasoned front-row veterans to first-time couture attendees, these actors, musicians, creators, athletes, and entrepreneurs aren’t simply occupying coveted seats. They’re forging lasting relationships with fashion houses, championing their own cultural identities, and redefining what global style looks like.
