Filipino hospitality is often described as a national trait, but in practice, it’s more personal. It lives in the generosity with which people make space for strangers. Praveenar “Veena” Singh seemed to understand that instinctively during her visit to the Philippines, where the Miss Universe 2025 First Runner-Up joined the Miss Universe Philippines 2026 grand coronation night as a special international guest and co-host.
But rather than bringing along her own team of glam professionals for such a grand event, the Thai beauty queen made the thoughtful choice to place herself in the hands of Filipino creatives.

A Woman in Red
Through the work of designers Leo Almodal and Christopher Munar, stylist Brasty Silva , makeup artist Carissa Medved, and other local talents, Singh’s presence onstage became a tribute to the people shaping Philippine fashion and beauty right now, and the audience responded to that gesture in kind.
For the coronation night’s evening gown segment, Singh made her entrance in a red creation by Almodal—a figure-skimming piece with a high slit that gave the look its own dramatic charge. Silva described it as a “Jessica Rabbit fantasy” come to life. Meanwhile, Munar’s jewelry provided the right amount of sparkle as an added touch.

To maintain the balance, Medved brought the beauty direction into the same register, keeping the brows defined, the eyes washed in champagne tones with a winged black liner, and the cheeks softly flushed. A nude lip with brown liner grounded the look and allowed the bold red gown to shine without clashing with anything.

But what made the moment even more special was Singh’s sincere appreciation:
“From the moment I arrived, I felt nothing but love, warmth, and kindness from everyone. Thank you to all the Filipinos for making me feel so welcome. You truly made this trip so special to me…The Philippines already feels like my second home, and I know this definitely won’t be my last visit.”

That’s the part that stays with anyone—the sense that beyond the glamour, this collaboration was built with mutual curiosity, openness, respect, and humor until it naturally bloomed into a genuine bond. Praveenar “Veena” Singh might have arrived in the Philippines as a guest, but she left as someone the country would be happy to welcome back again.
