Movies Coming to Cinemas in July 2026
Minions & Monsters
Everyone’s favorite yellow minions are back on the big screen with Minions & Monsters. This rambunctious and ridiculous tale follows the Minions in the 1920s as they conquer Hollywood and become movie stars, while also unleashing monsters onto the world and coming together to save the world. The movie is now showing in cinemas nationwide.
The Furious
Regarded as one of the best action movies of the decade so far, this Hong Kong action film tells the story of a man who must fight his way through a criminal empire to rescue his kidnapped daughter. Catch this in local cinemas now.
Leviticus
After Obsession and Backrooms ignited the horror genre on the big screen, it’s time for Leviticus to do the same. This well-received queer horror film centers on two teenagers in a relationship that’s looked down upon by their religious community. Moana
The latest live-action remake of a beloved Disney animated movie is here with Moana. Ten years after the original’s release, Moana gets the live-action treatment that looks to follow similar beats to the first movie, with Dwayne Johnson reprising his role as Maui while Catherine Laga’aia plays the live-action version of Moana. Evil Dead Burn
The bloody horror franchise is back, and it promises to be another demented trip on the big screen. After the loss of her husband, a woman seeks solace with her in-laws in their secluded family home. As one by one they are transformed into Deadites – turning the gathering into a family reunion from hell – she comes to discover that the vows she took in life live on even in death. And in case you’re wondering, the movie is rated R-18 and has no cuts, so this won’t be for the faint of heart. The movie will screen in cinemas on July 8.
The Odyssey
One of the biggest movie moments of the year is coming with the release of The Odyssey, Christopher Nolan’s next feature. The legendary tale begins as the famed director takes us on an adventure across the world. Matt Damon stars as Odysseus, the legendary Greek king, and chronicles his journey home after the Trojan War in a sweeping cinematic event of monumental scale. Spider-Man: Brand New Day
Releasing right at the tail end of the month, the newest Spider-Man movie sees the return of the titular superhero in his latest chapter. Four years have passed since the events of No Way Home, and Peter is now an adult living entirely alone, having voluntarily erased himself from the lives and memories of those he loves.
Crime-fighting in a New York that no longer knows his name, he’s devoted himself entirely to protecting his city as a full-time Spider-Man. But as the demands on him intensify, the pressure sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence, even as a strange new pattern of crimes gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced. The film swings onto local cinemas on July 29.

This prequel series to Legally Blonde follows Elle Woods before she was a fish-out-of-water at Harvard. We meet her in 1995 as a fish in the tumultuous waters of high school, where she encounters tricky friendships, forbidden romance, and questionable fashion choices. Through it all, Elle uses her family as a touchstone and forms an even tighter bond with her mother, proving that they can get through anything life throws their way as long as they have each other. The Loyalty Game
The Loyalty Game is set after a troubled evening when a woman wakes up without her husband by her side. Ana (Janine Gutierrez) hires a woman (Sofia Andres) to seduce and test the loyalty of her enigmatic husband, Ben (Jericho Rosales). But what begins as a connivance between wife and loyalty tester quickly devolves into a dangerous, seductive psychological game of secrets, manipulation, and power play as loyalty becomes a matter of life and death. The series will come to Prime Video on July 3.
Ride or Die
Don’t you just hate it when you learn that your best friend is an assassin? That’s the case in this film about best friends Debbie Claybourne (Octavia Spencer) and Judith Burton (Hannah Waddingham). They think they know everything about each other, but it turns out that Judith is an international assassin.
When a mysterious figure emerges from Judith’s past and a hit goes horribly wrong, both of their worlds are turned upside down as they’re forced to go on the run together. It’s a race against time and a road trip across Europe, with law enforcement, highly trained assassins, and some very dangerous criminals at their heels. You can stream the film on Prime Video beginning July 15.
Heartstopper Forever
Get ready for the return of Nick and Charlie in this full-length feature that will serve as the finale of the popular Heartstopper series. In it, we follow the two as they face a new set of challenges with Nick heading to university and Charlie taking on new responsibilities at school. With their love for each other at an all-time high, will these two survive their final hurdle? Find out when the movie drops exclusively on Netflix on July 17.
Stuart Fails to Save the Universe
If you ever felt like the world needed another The Big Bang Theory spin-off series, you got your wish in this show. This time, viewers follow comic book store owner Stuart Bloom as he tries to-and maybe won’t succeed in-saving the universe when he accidentally creates a new multiverse and must stop reality from collapsing. The ten-episode comedy will premiere on HBO Max on July 24, with new episodes debuting every Friday after.
Someone, Someday
Kathryn Bernardo makes her highly anticipated return to TV in this romantic drama about a successful businesswoman who is looking for love while unknowingly becoming friends with someone who has mysterious and seemingly sinister motives for her. Joining Bernardo in the cast are James Reid in one of the biggest team-ups of 2026 and Maja Salvador in her first proper teleserye in years. The series will begin airing on TV on July 27, while streaming on Netflix on the 24th.
Furious
You know what’s better than a show about a serial killer? One about a female serial killer. From creator and executive producer Elizabeth Meriwether, Furious follows an FBI agent, Alice Black (Emmy Rossum), on the hunt for a mysterious and calculating female serial killer. Both walk their own paths toward justice, and as their lives start to intertwine, the line between right and wrong begins to blur. The series will premiere on July 27 with three episodes on Disney+ and with new episodes dropping weekly.
The Devil’s Mouth
Featuring a who’s who of Gen Z stars such as Kathryn Newton, Lana Condor, and Gavin Casalegno, this movie follows a group of college friends and their trip to Thailand that quickly turns into a nightmare when they become trapped in submerged caves. Making matters worse, a dangerous predator is after them. Desperate and quickly running out of options, the group must find a way to escape before it’s too late. The film will come to Prime Video on July 29.
