After their last project almost a decade ago, Judy Ann and Sam finally bring their chemistry back on screen with ‘The Diary of Mrs. Winters

With the trajectory of media productions leaning towards collaborations, it is no surprise that we will be expecting a lot of fresh teams up on films and series. It has been a long time coming, but Judy Ann Santos and Sam Milby are finally reuniting on the big screen with their newest project, The Diary of Mrs. Winters.

During the press conference last February 8, the actors revealed the premise of the story as well as their character profiles.

Judy Ann, who plays Charity, is an OFW who works as a bio-forensic trauma cleaner. A series of grave events follow suit after she hides the diary of a certain Mrs. Winters who took her own life. Meanwhile, Sam takes on the role of Victor, the Canada-raised ex-boyfriend of Charity.

The movie is the second partnership of the two actors after their Kapamilya drama-action series “Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala” in 2013. In the press conference of the film, Sam gushed over working with Judy Ann again. “Juday pa lang, yes na kaagad! She is so easy to work with.”

As of now, both Judy Ann and Sam have done their look tests. They also mentioned that they will be shooting in Canada.

When asked why it took a long time for her to make a horror comeback, Judy Ann candidly answered, “I was waiting for the right material.”

Both Judy Ann and Sam regard this project as a special one, as the former is celebrating her 37th year in showbiz as well as her 45th birthday this year. As for the actor, this will be his first horror film.

The Diary of Mrs. Winters is directed by Rahyan Carlos with the screenplay written by the director himself and writer and National Artist Ricky Lee.
