Runway Review: Cheetah Rivera x L’Oréal Professionnel Takes A Revolutionary Turn In Fashion

By

It’s a woman’s world and we’re all just living in it.

Femininity is a limitless culture that holds no one meaning. In the landscape of modernity in fashion, female culture pervades it. Independent, powerful, and progressive, this is how Cheetah Rivera and L’Oréal Professionnel presented their women in the Holiday 2019 collection for MEGA Fashion Week.

The show began with diverse models prancing into the runway, wearing Cheetah’s statement-making silhouettes while donning their two-toned Millennial pastel hair.

“The collection is a vision of different women in my head. It caters to a lot of different body types and different personalities,” shares Cheetah to MEGA. “It was inspired basically with L’Oréal’s vision of a woman. She is elegant and polished, sexy but subtle…But most of all, she is a dreamer and she believes that her potential as a woman is limitless.”

True to her collection’s name, we’re living in the age where a multifaceted mass of women is constantly working to change society for the better. What’s impressive is how it’s in the fashion industry where the quiet spark begins. While Cheetah is known for her feminine designs, she proves that her talent is limitless as this was also her first collection that included menswear.

Later on stage, L’Oreal Professionnel turned the runway into a one-of-a-kind experience by bringing their creative hair director, Berni Ottjes and global ambassador, Tim Kruik to close the show by styling the hair of three beautifully diverse models. From the command post, one could hear the director speaking into the earpiece with how much time Berni had left to finish. Yet he smiled, unscathed by the pressure and delivered in just ten minutes.

“It’s always nice to be working with a creative environment as we understand each other perfectly well,” says Cheetah about her collaboration with L’Oréal Professionnel. “Also, the thing that excites me the most is the fact that I have been part of such a revolutionary moment as L’Oréal is launching a new hair product that is perfect for the Asian Market.”
