MEGA’s Best-Dressed Women at the GQ Philippines Launch Made Black Tie More Interesting

GQ Philippines is officially here! For its grand launch, the men’s media title brought together esteemed names across all fields to celebrate its first chapter in the country, complete with the unveiling of its inaugural covers. Naturally, everyone dressed for the black-tie affair. But for many of the women in the room, the expected colors were only a starting point. Metallics, sheer fabrics, texture, tailoring, and embellishment made things even more interesting.

Anne Curtis

With Erwan Heussaff gracing one of GQ Philippines’ inaugural covers, Anne Curtis had every reason to join the celebration—and make an entrance of her own! Her Alaïa dress had more to it than meets the eye, with knotted details running down the bodice to reveal subtle cutouts.

Pia Wurtzbach-Jauncey

It was severe in the best way possible. Pia Wurtzbach-Jauncey stepped out in a structured CDAM creation with elongated hardware cutting straight across the chest. BVLGARI jewels completed the ensemble.

Nadine Lustre

Nadine Lustre was literally glowing in her metallic Just Bonita column gown. As if that wasn’t enough, silver fringe caught the light with her every step. A little extra shimmer never hurt.

Barbie Imperial

From the front, Barbie Imperial kept it sleek in Andrea Tetangco. From the side, however, the high neckline gave way to a dramatically open back. We love the duality.

Michelle Dee

There was no way to miss Michelle Dee in Aisa Yap that night, and we have fashion stylist Ryuji Shiomitsu to thank for that. A floor-length skirt and Gucci heels kept everything else simple—because really, how do you compete with sleeves like those?

Mandy Romero & Sheila Romero

MEGA will always have room for a stylish mother-daughter duo. Mandy Romero opted for an IÑIGO dress with an asymmetrical neckline, while Sheila Romero went for the sculptural pleats of Issey Miyake. Clearly, good style runs in the family.

Vania Romoff

Vania Romoff’s floor-length creation kept things deliberately loose and unfussy, which somehow made the fact that she designed it herself even better.

Hello, Miss Universe Philippines! Bea Millan-Windorski looked every bit the beauty queen in Anthony Ramirez, with Jewelmer pearls proving only fitting for the occasion.

A frequent name on MEGA’s best-dressed lists, Pia Yanson in Louis Vuitton gave us another reason to keep paying attention. But the real charmer? That sparkly dog-shaped bag. Hands down, best accessory.
