In an exclusive interview with MEGA, one of Kathryn’s stylists, Boop Yap, shared the creative process behind the piece, revealing how the gown was designed to make the actress stand out on the red carpet

Delicate but Daring Spring Move
“We wanted to create a look that exudes elegance, confidence, and ethereal beauty,” Yap explains. The idea was to embrace the flowy, soft silhouettes of spring, but still maintain that understated glamour. “To execute this, we chose a sheer nude-toned tulle fabric that drapes effortlessly, creating a dreamy, weightless effect like a delicate spring breeze,” she continues. The gown was meticulously designed with delicate ruching at the bust and a twisted draped detail at the waist to enhance Kathryn’s figure, which kept the look both soft and feminine.
The gown didn’t shy away from adding a touch of drama, though. While they wanted to keep the look elegant, Yap and the team also wanted to inject a little more edge. “And that’s where the daring high slit came in—it added a modern, sultry element,” Yap tells MEGA. Though the Box Office Queen hardly needs help commanding attention, the dress made it look like she was floating through a garden, turning heads with every step.

To complement the gown, Yap kept the accessories minimal yet impactful, pairing the look with sleek, statement jewelry. “The idea was to let the gown do the talking,” the stylist explains. It had such a strong presence that we didn’t need to overdo anything else. “The result is a perfect balance of sophistication and allure—timeless yet undeniably striking,” Yap describes.
What made the look truly come together was designer Anthony Ramirez’s intuitive grasp of Kathryn’s personal style and creative vision. “Anthony has a deep understanding of Kath and her creative vision,” the stylist adds. “He translated her ideas into a simple yet stunning gown, capturing not just her aesthetic but the spirit behind it. He brought her imagination to life through his craftsmanship.” The collaboration between stylist, designer, and muse was truly a match made in springtime heaven, creating a look that was as fresh as it was flawless.
