The ABS-CBN Ball 2025 saw a number of stylish stars dressed to the nines in spring fashion, each look more stunning than the last. Among them, BINI turned heads with their striking individuality, embracing unique designs by Michael Cinco. From sleek and sultry to sculptural and sweet, the girl group proved that individuality is the secret ingredient to group success. In an exclusive interview, MEGA spoke with BINI’s stylist and visual director, Ica Villanueva, about the creative vision behind their unforgettable red carpet moment.

For BINI’s look, Villanueva knew exactly who to turn to—renowned designer Michael Cinco. “I chose Michael Cinco because Sir Michael’s talent and craftsmanship is recognized and celebrated globally,” Villanueva explains. “I feel that BINI resonates with him and vice versa because of the intricacies and beauty they both put in their respective artistry. BINI’s hyper-feminine aesthetic is something that Sir Michael is an expert of.” This shared vision of artistry and feminine power made Cinco the perfect choice to bring BINI’s individual—and group—looks to life.
BINI’s Fashion Story Told Through Unique Styles
Villanueva focused on highlighting the unique personalities of each member. “Actually, the concept I had in my mind was to just bring out the individuality of the girls, which isn’t hard,” she shares. “Although, I made sure to let Sir Michael interpret that concept in his own creative way.” The stylist also paid careful attention to the materials used for the gowns. “Fabric and texture-wise, I wanted something soft but sophisticated in a way, to give an empowering message that women can be very versatile not just in fashion, but in the ways they carry themselves.” The designs balanced elegance and strength, empowering BINI to step onto the red carpet with confidence. The result was a collection that highlighted both the group’s collective energy and their distinct individual styles.
Collectively, all the girls stunned in blush-toned gowns that beautifully blended crystal embellishments and sophisticated draping. Stacey’s gown featured a long train of delicate flower petals, adding an ethereal touch that trailed gracefully behind her. Maloi’s sculptural silhouette, defined by a pointed neckline, exuded a modern and architectural edge.
Jhoanna embraced spring in a romantic princess ball gown with floral prints, a soft and playful tribute to the theme. Gwen’s sleek two-piece ensemble balanced sophistication with contemporary flair, and showcased her polished elegance. Sheena’s halter-neck dress, with fringes at the skirt, combined body-hugging sophistication with a touch of movement and fun. Mikha’s gown, meanwhile, featured a sharp cuts and mesh side-cut, merging elegance and sexiness in one captivating look.
Aiah’s voluminous ball gown skirt paired with a halter-neck top embodied timeless grace, while Colet’s shimmering pink piece, adorned with flowers along the tube neckline and a daring slit, captured the bold and feminine spirit of spring.
Comfort and Confidence
Styling a girl group with distinct personalities can be a challenge, but Villanueva’s thoughtful approach ensured each member was at ease. “Let’s just say I took my time getting to know them, and knowing what gives them comfort,” she reveals. “I always make sure they step out feeling confident and at ease.” By focusing on comfort and individuality, Villanueva was able to craft looks that allowed each member of BINI to shine while still maintaining a cohesive visual presence.
The Red Carpet Formula
For Villanueva, the key to a successful red carpet look for BINI is making sure they have fun and radiate self-assurance. “The formula that I always depend on is definitely making sure that ‘having fun’ shines from the inside out. That alone can make a strong impression,” she says. It’s about letting each member radiate confidence and embody the energy of being part of the nation’s girl group. This simple yet powerful approach is the foundation of BINI’s stunning red carpet appearances, making each of their looks not just a fashion statement, but a reflection of their vibrant personalities.
