How to style the five trending colors we saw during the Spring/Summer 2023 fashion shows
The season of spring this time of the year is all about the balance of contrasts, and we took it upon ourselves to review the line of SS23 collections to get ready for the color trends we’re taking note of before we commence a change in wardrobe. And while the usual set of pastels made their way back to the runway, we saw a contrast as neutrals made an appearance as well.
So if you can’t decide whether to go for pastels or neutrals this spring season, we figured out how to create the perfect capsule wardrobe you can work with.
Yellow
When it comes to styling a vibrant color such as yellow, it’s best to opt for a softer hue to make it less vivid against the neutrals. Opt to wear this shade with your go-to denims or a simple maxi skirt for a sweet ensemble during the day.

Blue
We’re applying the same tip with the blue trend to keep your look cohesive. A nice powder blue has a more versatile touch to it and it’s much easier to match with other neutral colors. If you want a dynamic look, you can even wear it with yellow! But if you love your neutrals, go for beige and creams—a classic color combo.

Purple
It seems like purple isn’t leaving anytime soon, especially since Very Peri was reigned as the color of the year back in 2022. While it continues to make its appearance on the runway, you can give your look a three-dimensional feel by opting for a bright hued purple. Pull off this shade with a full-length dress or a statement top, these pieces are perfect for a nice brunch out with your girlfriends.

Black
Of course, black is still the superior color for any season—and spring is no exception. Though black can be a little too daunting, we can apply the color with subtlety with pieces that are probably in your closet already. Grab a pair of beige trousers or a cream maxi skirt and pair it with a light flowy black top or a fitted tank. For an easy look, slip on your go-to slinky black dress for a chic look that still has the right amount of spring vibes.

Beige
We can have a wide range of beige in our collection, but it’s best to pull out the ones that have a lighter tone to it. It’s a base color you can easily work your way through with the colors we mentioned because of its neutral hue.
