A Look At Boy De Chanel, Chanel’s First Makeup Line For Men

By

Who said boys can’t indulge in a skincare and makeup routine? Bringing men’s grooming to the spotlight, Chanel has announced that they are launching Boy de Chanel, their very first makeup line made for men.

According to WWD, the three-piece collection includes the following: a tinted fluid in four colors, a matte moisturizing lip balm and four shades of eyebrow pencil. The name Boy de Chanel, on the other hand, is allegedly inspired by Boy Chapel, designer Gabrielle Chanel’s lover and muse.

“By creating Boy de Chanel, its first makeup line for men, Chanel reaffirms the ever-changing codes of an unchanging vision: Beauty is not a matter of gender, it is a matter of style,” the brand stated.

The collection will be launching in South Korea this September 1, with the handsome actor Lee Dong Wook as the campaign’s face. Boy de Chanel will be available to the rest of the world in November on the brand’s website and in Chanel’s boutiques in January 2019.
