Even though there are still a good six months left in the year, it’s safe to say that 2026 is looking to be yet another good year for OPM. Local tracks, old and new, have dominated the charts and continue to do so, frequently occupying the Top 10 spots despite new releases from A-list global artists.

The year has also seen breakout moments from a new generation of artists whose songs have gone viral on social media and entered the mainstream conversation. And of course, we can’t talk about OPM this year without mentioning the historic success of BINI and SB19 at some of the biggest international music festivals. OPM continues to thrive, and the songs hit just as hard for any occasion. Speaking of songs, there are many of the year’s best OPM tracks that deserve a listen, and you can do so in one place courtesy of Spotify.

The Year’s Best OPM Songs, According to Spotify

To commemorate reaching the halfway point of 2026, Spotify Philippines launched its Editors’ Picks: Best OPM Songs of the Year So Far, an unranked, mid-year snapshot of 50 of the best songs of the year that have shaped Filipino culture in 2026. This is the first time the streaming service has made an effort of this scale, which speaks to just how far local music, creativity, and artistry have come, as they are more than worthy of standing alongside the biggest international hits of the year.

Curated by Spotify Philippines, the list features songs from a who’s who of OPM’s top names, rising artists, and rookie performers that have captured audiences’ attention while defining the sound and spirit of OPM so far in 2026.

On the P-pop front, SB19 (VISA), BINI (Unang Kilig), and rookie girl group XONARA (TABI) are on the list. Acclaimed female acts like ena mori (19 Underground), rhodessa (nananabik), and dwta (Tabi!) are represented alongside the year’s breakthrough artists such as fitterkarma (Aswang Sa Maynila feat. Novocrane) and HEY JUNE! (Pagmamahal).

Rather than focusing on which tracks got the most streams, the genre-diverse list represents the range and creativity of OPM in 2026, with tracks that shine with their musicality, distinctiveness, and cultural impact. OPM fans will probably be familiar with most of the tracks, but even for casual listeners, these songs deserve a play because they may just find their next favorite song or artist.
