Scents hold memories. One whiff can take you back to a specific moment, a person, or the day you first fell in love. For Designer Blooms COO Marie Garcia, that connection between scent, memory, and meaning shaped her own wedding. After years of curating floral stories for others, it was finally her turn—and she approached it not as a florist, but as a storyteller.

“Designing my own wedding as a florist was less about florals and more about creating a world—one where emotion, form, and beauty could exist in quiet conversation,” the newly wedded bride pondered. Inspired by sculptural art, tactile materials, and the natural movement of blooms in their rawest form, each floral detail was deliberate. With three curated floral variations throughout the wedding, each one was calm and layered, each designed to evoke emotion beyond aesthetics.

Bringing her vision to life was her sister and Designer Blooms CEO, Isa Garcia, who shares Marie’s passion for design, beauty, and detail. Alongside their lead floral designer Petrus, the celebration became more than a wedding—it became a tribute to their late mother, Rica Garcia, the founder of Designer Blooms.

“Every petal, stem, and arrangement was crafted in memory of my mother, whose legacy Isa and I continue every day,” Marie shared. “Rather than functioning as mere decoration, the florals became the soul of the celebration, honoring her influence while grounding the entire aesthetic in something profoundly meaningful.”

The result was a love letter in full bloom—where every arrangement told a story of love, legacy, and artistry. More than décor, the florals became living memories, immortalized in scent, texture, and emotion.
From intimate weddings to milestone celebrations, let Designer Blooms craft an event you’ll always remember.
