Wellness is deeply rooted in connections—in the intricate interplay between the mind and body, and the self and community. Achieving it requires a holistic approach. Recognizing this, ASICS continues to champion initiatives that empower women to prioritize all aspects of their well-being—from physical and mental to emotional and spiritual.
As part of its 2nd Regional Women’s Retreat, the brand brought together a diverse group of 35 women from Southeast Asia—including ASICS’ Global Frontrunners Ania Gabb, Nina Ashton, and Prakriti Dutta, and ultra-marathoner Natalie Dau. We’ve listed some of the tips and activities worth trying out from the event, so you, too, can discover the secrets to a sound mind and body.

Cultivate Emotional Balance
Bottling emotions can eat away at your mental state. On top of causing you to be in a perpetual state of stress, it can also take a serious toll on your physical health—manifesting in the form of headaches and at worst, chronic disorders like heart diseases.

Don’t deprive yourself of the thing that makes you human. Find ways to process and release those emotions—whether through journaling or meditation.
Nurture Creativity

A creative outlet does not just offer a healthy escape from daily stressors, it’s also a powerful tool for self-expression. It even helps boost confidence by helping you recognize the beauty in imperfections and finding joy in the simple act of creation. Some sustainable art-making activities you can try out include Furoshiki eco-printing or making Sachiko—a type of Japanese embroidery.
Foster Connections

We humans are inherently interdependent; we rely on each other for support through our highest and lowest points in life. After all, shared experiences often foster deeper connections. Something as simple as a friendly game—like Karuta, a traditional Japanese card game—can become a meaningful way to strengthen bonds, spark conversations, and create lasting memories.
Engage in Physical Activities

Research suggests that women are less physically active than men due to a variety of factors like cost barriers and a lack of time. Regardless of your commitments, integrating exercises into your daily routines can help you become stronger both physically and emotionally. You don’t have to do anything too complicated. Simple cardio—like running at sunrise—or even doing stretches in your room would be enough.
Prioritize Relaxation and Recovery

In between strenuous physical activities and daily stressors, it’s always a great idea to unwind. Some therapeutic activities like Hydrotherapy sessions help ease tension in your body, while also offering relaxation.
Choose the Right Apparel and Footwear

Wellness extends to what you wear. After all, from its aesthetic appeal to its wearability, your clothes and shoes can offer you the support you need to confidently go about your day. Luckily for you, ASICS just released its AW25 NAGINO collection, which features designs created by women for women.

From tops to running shoes, each piece caters to different preferences—offering unparalleled style without compromising comfort. The entire collection is also made of lightweight materials. Thus offering maximum movement and comfort throughout every activity.

With all of these said, it’s worth noting that wellness is not a destination but a continuous journey. By embracing these mindful activities and the unparalleled comfort brought by ASICS, you can move through life with confidence, balance, and most of all, purpose.
