As Severe Tropical Storm Crising lashed parts of the country, one of three low-pressure areas (LPAs) is now currently inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR)—one that could soon intensify into Tropical Cyclone Dante. The possibility of back-to-back weather systems has raised the risk of widespread flooding and landslides. Monsoon rains, enhanced by both Crising and the incoming disturbance, are expected to persist through the week, with Metro Manila seeing its heaviest downpours from Tuesday to Thursday.

With forecasts pointing to sustained rainfall and heightened hazards, it’s crucial to stay informed, know which malls are open, and keep emergency hotlines within reach.
