In this year’s iteration of MEGA Ball, the theme is Fashion + Dance—celebrating dance, movement, and breakthroughs through fashion and style. The dress code is Fashion in Motion, and you can envision dangling fringes, swaying feathers, interesting textures, and silhouettes that command motion. For Pinoy Pride Dance Awardee Niana Guerrero, her outfit for The MEGA Ball 2025 truly embodies the theme.

Niana’s dress, a stunning embodiment of movement and metamorphosis, features black tulleTulleA lightweight, sheer netting fabric used to create volume, veils, and airy overlays in gowns, skirts, and bridal wear. Soft and romantic, tulle gives a dreamy, ballerina-like effect, and hasGo to Tulle Glossary layered over a boned inner, creating a striking contrast that emphasizes motion. The voluminous and structured skirt further reinforces her commitment to the theme.

From The Designer

MEGA had the opportunity to have an exclusive interview with her designer, Francis Libiran. Francis, known for opulence and grandiosity, didn’t hold back for Niana’s outfit. “Niana’s dress is a bold statement pieceStatement PieceA bold garment or accessory, such as a sculptural earring, vivid coat, or embellished bag, that becomes the focal point of an outfit. Furthermore, the designer adds how he and his team wanted to capture the essence of metamorphosis—how fabric can evolve from structure to fluidity, from stillness to motion, much like a dancer in full flight.
Francis also acknowledged the challenge that comes with this year’s MEGA Ball’s theme. “This year’s MEGA Ball theme challenged us to push the boundaries of modern couture, so we reimagined the silhouette with architectural pleatingPleatingThe technique of folding fabric and pressing or stitching the folds into place to add texture, volume, and movement. Francis also acknowledged Niana as one of the new generation’s icons and it-girls. “Niana embodies the new generation of icons—fearless, expressive, and unapologetically herself—and this look was designed to mirror that spirit,” he explained. Every fold and contour of the garment was meticulously crafted to move in harmony with Niana—celebrating her power and youth in both avant-gardeAvant-GardeExperimental fashion that pushes boundaries and challenges conventional ideas of shape, material, and beauty. Wearer’s Perspective
In an exclusive interview with Niana, she expressed her admiration for the Filipino designer. “I chose Francis Libiran because I’ve always seen his stuff and I’ve always wanted to wear or, like, work with him,” she says. She also adds that Francis is one of the best designers in the country, so working with him is the right choice.

Furthermore, Niana also shared that as much as possible she is always involved in the creative process of everything she wears for events. “If I want to wear something to an event, I just have to, like, you know, put in my inputs as well so that I’m also comfortable, because I’m really big on comfort,” shares the Gen Z superstar.
In addition to her stunning gown, Niana also wore jewelry from Tiffany and Co. The new generation’s it-girl is sporting pieces from the latest HardWear line by the renowned jewelry house. The HardWear line draws its design from the expression of love’s transformative power, with each chain link symbolizing resilience and freedom.
Niana ends the interview by answering the question: How does it feel wearing the gorgeous piece? “It’s all very new to me, but I feel fabulous.”
