Instagram star Yoyo Cao has been shaping the content creation game for over a decade—long before it was even considered a career path. Known as your favorite fashion insider’s insider, she first made waves for her effortlessly cool styling and her curated multi-label boutique. A decade later, she’s still one of Singapore’s most influential style figures.

The Sartorial Instagram Star
Like many early creators, Cao started with Instagram as a personal diary — documenting everyday moments and fashion looks. Those sartorial snapshots, paired with Pinterest-worthy flatlays and editorial-style poses, quickly earned her a cult following.

What started as casual content around her boutique, Exhibit, evolved into a platform boasting over half a million followers. With a distinctive style, luxury brand partnerships, and front row seats at international fashion weeks, Yoyo Cao has solidified her place as Singapore’s It Girl.
Motherhood, but Make It Fashion
Between growing her social media empire and globe-trotting for fashion, the influencer is also a hands-on mom to a young son, Luca. Now 36, she continues to seamlessly balance motherhood with content creation and business. And with fashion-savvy parents like Yoyo and her partner Matthews Chang (who also works in fashion), it won’t be long before her little one makes his own style statements.

Entrepreneur in Heels
In 2012, Cao launched Exhibit, a multi-label boutique designed to elevate Singapore’s fashion scene. It later evolved into a brand showcasing in-house designs and even made its mark at Singapore Fashion Week. In 2019, as she juggled her boutique, global travel, and impending motherhood, she made the difficult decision to close its doors.
But the entrepreneur in her didn’t stop there. In 2022, she co-founded Romi—a beauty brand focused on skincare and makeup, created with close friends Arissa Cheo and Lin Ting. Inspired by their own skincare struggles, Romi marks Cao’s exciting new chapter in beauty entrepreneurship.

Before content creation became an aspirational career, Yoyo Cao was already setting the pace with her forward-thinking style and entrepreneurial spirit. Now navigating motherhood while still globe-hopping and trendsetting, she shows no signs of slowing down.
