Returning to Manila for their 23rd year is the PELÍCULA>PELIKULA Spanish Film Festival, back to celebrate films from Spain and Latin America from October 5-13 at the Red Carpet Cinemas, Shangri-La Plaza. Over the week, Cinema 2 will be playing a number of dynamic films for you and your loved ones to enjoy. All you have to do is show up, bring some snacks, and watch to your heart’s content.

Free Cinematic Experience

You read that right—with over 20 film screenings, various workshops and educational talks, you get to experience a variety of rich cultures from different countries and quality, cinematic masterpieces at the Red Carpet Cinemas free of charge! And don’t worry about not understanding the languages, as there will be English subtitles in the screenings. 

All you have to do is check out Instituto Cervantes’ schedule of screenings to decide which film to watch.

Throughout the week, the Spanish Film Festival will be showing a variety of full length films, short films, documentaries, plays, animations—you name it. There’s entertainment for all age groups, so grab the whole family and bring them to the cinemas!

The fun doesn’t stop there. Before the film, you’ll be given a ballot sheet to rate the film you’ve watched. Here comes the exciting part: For every five films that you’ve rated, you’ll be given exclusive merchandise from Instituto Cervantes de Manila. Be sure to collect stamps on your Película ballots at each screening to earn these rewards.
