An ode to the city that introduced Filipino designer Rian Fernandez to fashion—Baguio City

Filipino designer Rian Fernandez’s “Timeless Heritage” collection closes the year with the strong narrative of design and opens the next one with vibrance, hues, and hope.

“This collection is a display of extravagant fusion of culture and fashion,” says Fernandez. “The inspiration revolves to a city where I found first my love for fashion, Baguio City. It is a beautiful, peaceful mountain city 1,500 meters above sea level. [I used] some of the highland weave to feature the local weavers of the Northern Philippines to [be able to] sustain the cultural identity [and] cope up with new trends in fashion.”

Fernandez created his perfect palette with this season’s colors: lilac and purple, sky light and royal blue, blush and rose pink, peach and champagne, and white and nudes. [We are] introducing up-to-date cuts and patterns, carefully putting [them] into pieces, to create 40 sensational masterpieces this Fall/Winter 2023.
