Last Sunday, August 8, Miss Earth Philippines had their grand coronation night in a virtual celebration for all pageant fans to see. There were 68 contestants who represented various cities, municipalities, provinces, and communities. They all came together for a night of glamour and meaningful talk to find the next Miss Earth Philippines. At the end of the emotional celebration, Allison Baeyans of Baguio City crowned her successor, 23-year-old Naelah Alshorbaji of Parañaque City. The young beauty queen stunned in all of the segments during the competition. Here are 5 things you didn’t know about Naelah Alshorbaji or Nana, for short.
#1: Nana is in a relationship
The Filipino-Syrian beauty queen is in a 4-year relationship with her boyfriend. They both love debating, kiteboarding, traveling, gaming, and learning from each other. Also, she calls him her little rocket scientist.
#2: Nana loves dressing up in menswear
This beauty queen is definitely one of the boys. She grew up with four brothers, so she’s used to seeing menswear around her. She even participated in a photoshoot where she cross-dressed as a business man.
#3: Nana is an eco warrior
Nana definitely deserves to be our candidate for Miss Earth 2021, because she is a true blue eco warrior. She has participated in multiple initiatives in Parañaque to recycle goods and create eco bricks for the community.
#4: Nana loves trying out new sports and exercises
As a beauty queen, it’s important for Nana to stay in shape. Instead of hitting the gym, she likes trying out different sports and exercises. She has tried aerial silk yoga, diving, golf, surfing, chairlesque, and so much.

This beauty queen unknowingly started her training 6 years ago when she dove into the world of modeling. Since then, she has been in multiple campaigns and fashion editorials. She has even modeled for MEGA.
