The Yeezy Season 6 campaign recreated Kim Kardashian’s paparazzi-style photos using lookalike models, including Paris Hilton and Jordyn Woods. Posted to Instagram in late January 2018 with the #YeezySeason6 hashtag, the images copied her outfits, exact poses and platinum blonde hair.

In December 2017, Kim Kardashian promoted her husband Kanye West’s Yeezy Season 6 through a series of tweets showing the looks in paparazzi-style photos. The approach drew wide attention online and set up the follow-up Instagram campaign recreating those images with other faces.

Paris Hilton, Jordyn Woods, @amina.blue and Sierra Skye (@sierraaaskyee) each posted recreations under #YeezySeason6 on January 30, 2018. Each matched Kim Kardashian’s original outfit, pose and platinum blonde hair closely, a detail that drew attention to how faithfully the campaign copied the photos.

It reworked a familiar fashion-marketing format, paparazzi-style imagery, by swapping the original model for recognizable faces who each posted the look themselves. The result generated conversation across Instagram and drew wide coverage, extending the reach of Yeezy Season 6 online.

Yeezy Season 6 is the sixth collection from Kanye West’s Yeezy fashion label, presented in December 2017 through Kim Kardashian’s tweets of paparazzi-style photos, and extended in January 2018 with the lookalike Instagram series. The campaign relied on social media rather than a runway show.
