During the Bb. Pilipinas 2018 coronation night, 24-year-old Filipino-Australian Catriona Gray stole the show along with the Binibining Pilipinas-Universe crown from 39 other contestants.
After 9 months of preparation, The Philippines’ bet for this year’s Miss Universe pageant pleads to give all or nothing. The last time that the Philippines won was in 2015, during the historical win of Pia Wurtzbach.
“Everything that’s worth doing is worth doing well. Like in Binibining Pilipinas, I went for all or nothing, and the same applies to Miss Universe,” Catriona shared during her send-off press conference.
Today, Catriona flies to Thailand for the competition wearing a green Thai-inspired outfit by designer Anthony Ramirez.
As a known designer for beauty queens including Pia Wurtzbach and Ariella Arida, Anthony created a vibrant ensemble for Catriona. And to channel the same energy of sophistication we witnessed at the MEGA Fashion Week, Anthony garbed Catriona in a green bustier top and a wide leg trousers punctuated with a gold belt. To complete her look, she accesorized it with a Vida Lim gold shell earrings.
Miss Universe 2018 coronation night will be on Monday, December 17 at Impact, Muang Thong Thani, Bangkok.
