As we have all noticed, this year’s Golden Globes carried an important message. Many celebrities chose to wear black to show solidarity with survivals of sexual harassment and assault, and to raise awareness to the #TimesUp Movement.
However, it doesn’t end there. The stars, including Reese Witherspoon, Tracee Ellis Ross, Mandy Moore and Nicole Kidman, are putting their red carpet outfits up for auction to benefit the legal defense fund of #TimesUp.
Fatima Goss Graves, the President and CEO of the National Women’s Law Center — who is in charge of the movement’s defense fund — shares that the decision to do so was inspiring. “We’re thrilled that actors and others in the entertainment industry are leading in this extraordinary way to end the scourge of workplace sexual harassment,” shares Graves.
