For two weeks, Thailand was a hub of pageant activity with the first-ever edition of Miss Grand International All Stars. The special competition welcomed past contenders from any pageant to compete again and claim their crown. Given that the pageant was open to veterans, the competition was stacked with experienced delegates who knew their way around the pressure of pageants. But that didn’t stop Filipinas from showing up and out throughout the competition. As a beauty pageant powerhouse, the Philippines was well represented at MGI All Stars with queens in and outside the competition who proudly took on the opportunity to show the world their grace, beauty, confidence, and talent and reminded the world of the power of a Filipina beauty queen.

Filipina Queens Represent at Miss Grand International All Stars
With 56 contestants competing this year, there were not one, not two, but five Filipinas who represented the country, with the queens representing different aspects of the pageant world. With her title as Miss Universe Philippines 2019, Gazini Ganados was seen as one of the contest’s frontrunners. Fuschia Anne Ravena and Keylyn Trajano brought the trans representation. Imelda Schweighart got her chance to compete after she resigned from Miss Universe Philippines 2026, and she did so bravely while dealing with a miscarriage during the competition. Finally, Alexia Núñez bridged cultures with her Filipino and Brazilian roots on the stage.
All the queens came through, with two delegates making it forward during the coronation night in Fuschia reaching Top 18, while Gazini made it all the way to Top 5. The latter in particular had a stellar night and run overall in the competition. When she finished as a Top 20 finalist in Miss Universe 2019, Gazini wasn’t able to show the world much of what she has to offer. But MGI All Stars was the perfect setting to do so. As early as the preliminary rounds, the Filipino-Palestinian beauty queen presented herself as a strong contender, all while featuring a wardrobe composed of multiple Filipino designers.
Her run culminated in a Top 5 finish, reaching the Q&A round after she stunned in a head-turning Rian Fernandez gown that was inspired by her Filipino-Palestinian heritage during the evening gown segment of the competition. She may not have won the crown, but Gazini left Thailand achieving her redemption arc as a standout queen.
A Crown-Worthy Lineup of Hosts Featuring Two Filipina Winners
The Filipina star power wasn’t just limited to the contestants, but even those who presented during the night, as Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee and current reigning Miss Grand International Emma Tiglao served as the coronation night’s hosts alongside Ecuadorian actor Danila Carrera. Seeing two successful Filipina queens host an international pageant together was a moment, and them doing so while wearing Filipino designers was even better. For Michelle, she turned to multiple designers such as Patty Ang, Mark Bumgarner, and Anthony Ramirez for her MGI All Stars looks, while Emma looked like royalty wearing a gorgeous gold Ehrran Montoya gown.
