SAVESTUDIOS, a fashion brand based in Thailand, transforms second-hand fast fashion garments and discarded materials into one-of-a-kind, wearable pieces. Each item is handcrafted using draping, deconstruction and embroidery. “We integrate elements like repurposed e-waste and artisanal craftsmanship. Our clothing does not follow trends but tells a story, blending fashion, sustainability, and artistry. Every design is unique, making a statement about individuality and conscious living,” says Sarisa Nuansri, founder and Creative Director of SAVESTUDIOS.

SAVESTUDIOS finds beauty in imperfection and transforms forgotten textiles into new, expressive forms.

Nuansri was taking her BFA in Fashion and Apparel Design at Srinakharinwirot University while simultaneously taking Fashion Mix at Central Saint Martins when she began the brand in 2018. In 2024, she finished with Distinction in her Graduate Diploma in Fashion from Central Saint Martins.

SAVESTUDIOS was created to challenge the destructive impact of fast fashion. The brand began by repurposing second-hand clothing and textiles, then evolved into a platform for sustainability. SAVESTUDIOS collaborates with artisans and local communities to promote traditional craftsmanship. Each collection aims to reflect a commitment to environmental responsibility.

“Unlike conventional fashion brands, SAVESTUDIOS does not mass-produce nor follow seasonal trends. Each piece is handcrafted using upcycled materials, ensuring no two garments are alike. Our focus on draping, deconstruction, and sustainable embellishments sets us apart, offering clothing that is both artistic and eco-conscious. We blend traditional craftsmanship with modern design, creating timeless pieces that challenge fashion norms. Our fashion is not about fitting into trends; it’s about standing out with meaning and purpose,” explains Nuansri. She says that fashion is more than just clothing; it is storytelling through fabric and form. Every piece she designs is a statement that combines sustainability with high-level craftsmanship. All this is evident when you see the clothing.

SAVESTUDIOS is also rooted in Asian craftsmanship and cultural storytelling. “Our designs reflect [traditional] Asian philosophies of balance, resourcefulness, and respect for nature. We blend hand weaving, embroidery, and natural dyeing with contemporary aesthetics. The brand also draws inspiration from Asia’s spiritual and artistic heritage, making each piece a cultural and philosophical statement,” explains Nuansri. “Southeast Asia is deeply rooted in tradition-

al crafts. SAVESTUDIOS embraces this heritage by collaborating with local artisans in Mae On, Chiang Mai, where it is based within a forest community. We incorporate locally sourced materials like water hyacinth and basketry into our designs. Our approach reflects the region’s strong connection to nature, sustainability, and storytelling, preserving indigenous craftsmanship while reinterpreting it in a contemporary fashion context.”

Cultural heritage, the Buddhist philosophy of mindfulness and previously unseen narratives within old garments also define the brand. “Our designs encourage people to see clothing not just as fashion but as meaningful, wearable art.”
