Valentina Is Here: Janella Salvador Is Raising A Snake For Her Coming Role

ICYMI, Janella Salvador has been cast as Valentina, the mortal nemesis of the iconic Mars Ravelo superhero, Darna. And now, she’s got the pet to prove it.

The 23-year-old star took to Instagram to share her new “baby girl” that she’s been raising for five months now, along with a home photo shoot with the snake slithering down her arm.

“Hello, world. Meet Versace, my 5 month old baby girl,” Janella’s caption reads.

Janella was announced as the 2021 version of the serpent queen, Valentina, on November. She will be starring opposite newcomer Jane De Leon as Darna, Joshua Garcia as Brian ‘Ding’ Samonte Robles, and child star Zaijan Jaranilla.

Since giving birth to her first son, Jude Trevor Peterson in 2020, Janella has mostly kept out of the spotlight while staying in the United Kingdom. Her last major series role was in the ABS-CBN series The Killer Bride alongside Maja Salvador.
