When SB19 held their successful Wakas at Simula: The Trilogy Concert Finale at the SMDC Festival Grounds last April, it didn’t just close one chapter of their career, but also opened the doors for what was to come next. And in typical SB19 fashion, their latest era is nothing short of groundbreaking. From being practically ignored during their debut in 2018 to being one of the top artists right now, SB19 is an undeniable leader in the scene.
As further proof of their pioneering status, the P-pop boy group is embarking on their latest chapter with historic opportunities and performances on the docket that are making their newest era one of their most exciting yet. Below, we round up how SB19 has been making the most of their next chapter, one that is taking P-pop and Filipino talent to new heights.

SB19’s Historic Lollapalooza Performance
2026 has been the year of homegrown Filipino acts breaking new ground in the world’s biggest music festivals. After BINI did so at Coachella last April, it’s now SB19’s turn as part of this year’s Lollapalooza in Chicago from July 30 to August 2, one of the world’s most well-known music festivals. Joining a lineup that includes Jennie, Olivia Dean, Charli xcx, and Tate McRae, SB19 is making history as the first-ever Filipino act to perform at Lollapalooza as they show tens of thousands of festivalgoers what P-pop and Filipino excellence is all about.
They are set to perform on the Allianz Stage on July 31, 4:30 AM Philippine time for an approximately one-hour set. For fans who want to watch the performance live, and the rest of Lollapalooza for that matter, they can do so on Disney+ in the Philippines, as they will be streaming the festival live on the platform. Streaming begins at 3:45 AM Philippine time daily. Also, adding to the hype, Spotify Philippines recently rolled out a My SB19 Setlist feature where users can turn their listening history into their own festival-ready SB19 playlist.
Being Named the Philippines’ Newest Tourism Ambassador
As SB19 prepares to hit the global stage in the coming months, the group was recently named the country’s newest tourism ambassador. Already designated as Youth and Sentro Rizal ambassadors by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, SB19 joins BINI as the only P-pop groups to receive the honor of tourism ambassador from the Department of Tourism.
The moment further highlights and recognizes SB19’s growing influence and reach in the global music scene, often making history with their achievements as the first among Filipino acts. It also speaks to P-pop’s undeniable momentum and ability to connect Filipino culture with a new generation across the world.
SB19’s Grammy Museum Appearance and MLB First Pitch
SB19’s schedule in America is packed. Ahead of Lollapalooza, the group is also slated for a handful of special events and appearances. First, on July 28 (July 29, 10:30 AM Philippine time), they will be at the Grammy Museum for Global Spin Live, which will consist of an interview and special live performance. The group isn’t actually strangers to Global Spin, as members Felip and Josh have done it before. But this is the first time all five members are a part of it, and it will be done inside the Grammy Museum.
The following day, July 29, the quintet flies to Chicago to throw the ceremonial first pitch at the Major League Baseball (MLB) game of the Chicago White Sox vs. New York Yankees at Rate Field. They join a small group of Filipinos such as Liza Soberano and Manny Pacquiao who have done so before, and also make history as the first-ever Filipino group to throw the ceremonial first pitch at an MLB game.
SB19 Enters a New Era With New Single ‘Lawless’
Fittingly, SB19’s new era also coincides with the release of new music. On July 31, the same day they’ll perform at Lollapalooza (Philippine time, at least), the group will drop their new single entitled Lawless. Serving as their latest release since their Wakas At Simula album, the song finds the group at their most confident yet, signified by the use of a goat in its cover art, which is a reference to being the GOAT or Greatest Of All Time.
Whether this serves as a prelude to a new EP or a standalone single, we’ll have to wait and see, but it’s already exciting to see the group’s next evolution, music-wise.
SB19’s Summer Sonic and KPOPWORLD Festival Appearances
Lollapalooza isn’t the only international festival SB19 will be performing at in 2026. After they wrap up their activities in the US, the group then flies to Japan for Summer Sonic in August, where they and BINI will be the only Filipino acts to perform at one of Japan’s most notable music festivals. SB19 will perform at the Massive Stage in Osaka on August 14 and the Pacific Stage in Tokyo on August 15. Scheduled in between these festival appearances are thanksgiving fan events on August 8 and 9 in the US and on August 18 in Japan.
Finally, SB19 will be heading back to the US once more in October for the KPOPWORLD Festival at Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. Running from October 28-31, the festival features dance competitions and performances. It’s the latter in particular that SB19 will be doing as they join a lineup of K-pop stars such as Dayoung, Jessi, The Rose, CRAVITY, and more. Notably, SB19 is both the only Filipino act in the lineup and the only non-K-pop and non-Korean act to perform at KPOPWORLD Festival this year. Needless to say, it’s going to be a very busy second half of the year for SB19.
