Filipino stories will always matter. Not only do we see how they continuously resonate with audiences in the Philippines and around the world, but they are also worth investing time, money, and resources in. That’s the case for Prime Video in its push to embrace Filipino content and storytelling with its recent Prime Video Presents: Philippines event.
Not only did the gathering reveal that Prime Video is currently developing three original K-dramas starring actors such as Seo Kangjun, Ahn Eun-jin, Ahn Hyo-seop, Park Min Young, Yook Sung Jae, and Go Soo set to premiere in the second half of 2026, but it also announced the streaming service’s upcoming slate of seven local originals. Featuring collaborations with ABS-CBN and GMA and starring some of today’s biggest and rising local stars, these projects run the gamut across family drama, political thriller, psychological suspense, romance, crime, and comedy. The Silent Noise – When a Crime Hits Close to Home
Already streaming since March 20, The Silent Noise is a crime drama starring Angelica Panganiban in her series comeback, Zanjoe Marudo, who plays her husband Anton, Mutya Orquia and Zaijian Jaranilla as their children, and KD Omalin as their youngest deaf son. It tells the story of a family that has to deal with the fallout of a murder investigation, with their deaf son at the center of it. With the series reaching its halfway point, the drama, intrigue, and twists are about to heat up.
LOL: Last One Laughing Philippines Season 2 – Even More Laughs
Vice Ganda is back as the host for the second season of LOL: Last One Laughing Philippines, which is the Philippine adaptation of the popular LOL: Last One Laughing format on Prime Video. Featuring a new cast of comedians from the big and small screen, the comedy competition series challenges ten comedians to make each other laugh while keeping straight faces themselves, with the last one standing winning. Season 2’s premiere date and contestants will be announced at a later date.
Love Is Never Gone – Betrayal, Lies, and Love
Starring Joshua Garcia and Ivana Alawi in their first project together as leads, this steamy and action-packed series set in Morocco follows Teo (Garcia), a young man who falls victim to a cunning thief named Yana (Alawi), but soon learns she steals out of desperation to care for her sick mother. What begins in anger turns into love as the two get romantic.
However, when Yana’s ties to a crime syndicate lead to betrayal and Teo’s wrongful imprisonment, they will go down a harrowing path of deceit, revenge, and secrets as Teo discovers that his dead lover is alive and reinvented as a socialite. Rounding out the cast are Jameson Blake, Jane Oineza, Michael de Mesa, Epy Quizon, Fyang Smith, JM Ibarra, and Dina Bonnevie. The drama series will come to Prime Video on May 8.
The Loyalty Game – Do You Really Know Your Partner
Taking inspiration from the viral “loyalty test” phenomenon on social media, The Loyalty Game is a psychological thriller where a fidelity test becomes deadly when two women discover the man they’re fighting over has a chilling secret he would do anything to keep hidden. Janine Gutierrez, Jericho Rosales, and Sofia Andres lead the project.
Honor Thy Mother – Mother-Daughter Drama

A first-of-its-kind collaboration between ABS-CBN, GMA, and Prime Video, Honor Thy Mother brings together Sharon Cuneta, Barbie Forteza, John Estrada, and Khalil Ramos. The series follows a CEO and her estranged daughter who must unite to survive a deadly conspiracy, exploring mother-daughter reconciliation through corporate intrigue and redemption.
Kopino – A KimPau Reunion

Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino are back for their third original series together with Prime Video in Kopino. A play on the words Korean and Filipino, the show is described as a cross-cultural romance that centers on two childhood sweethearts torn apart by fate who reunite in Korea’s corporate world and addresses the Kopino experience—children of Korean and Filipino parents seeking family recognition. Adding to the show’s authenticity, the series is set to film scenes in Korea with Korean actors.
Behind Closed Doors – Marian Rivera’s Comeback

Prepare to see Marian Rivera like never before in Behind Closed Doors, where she plays a journalist and the mistress of the President of the Philippines. The political drama follows a sharp-tongued radio announcer whose secret affair with the Philippine President, who will be played by Dingdong Dantes, is exposed to the public, making her the prime suspect in his assassination and putting her on a collision course with his daughter, portrayed by Jillian Ward. The project marks Rivera’s return to acting in two years and a reunion with noted director Dominic Zapata.
More Filipino Movies Coming to Prime Video
Also announced at the event were a slew of licensed Filipino movies that would make their exclusive streaming debut on Prime Video in 2026. They are the religious comedy Samahan ng mga Makasalanan, the horror movie Gabi ng Lagim, the Bayaniverse trilogy: Quezon, Heneral Luna, and Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral, the Bar Boys sequel Bar Boys: After School, and the sapphic 2025 Cinemalaya entry Open Endings.
