A Look at BINI’s Very, Very Eventful 2026, So Far

2026 has been a big year for BINI. But then again, when has it not been a big year for The Nation’s Girl Group?

Ever since their breakthrough in 2024, BINI hasn’t just been one of the most popular P-pop groups in the country, but a force in OPM whose impact extends outside the country’s borders. 2026 is proof of that for the Filipino Music Awards’ Artist of the Year winners. While it hasn’t been an uneventful time for BINI in a long while, the past ten months have been one achievement after another for Jhoanna, Aiah, Colet, Gwen, Maloi, Mikha, Stacey, and Sheena. From milestone awards to history-making performances, here’s a look at some of BINI’s best moments in 2026 so far.

Historic Stages at International Festivals

If 2026 for BINI will be remembered for one thing, it’s how they made Philippine history as the first-ever homegrown Filipino artist to perform at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. As arguably the most talked-about music festival in the world, Coachella offered BINI that chance to spotlight not just P-pop, but OPM on the world stage. And that’s exactly what they did with their sets during Weekends 1 and 2, which became some of the most discussed performances of the festival as they proudly represented the Philippines at Coachella.

A few months later, the eight-member girl group would further their international music festival credentials when they, along with SB19, became the first P-pop groups to perform at Summer Sonic in Japan. P-pop’s rise has never been better.

Being Commended With Senate and House Resolutions

BINI’s success at Coachella wasn’t just recognized by their Blooms and the general public, but also by elected government officials who adopted resolutions in recognition of their historic achievement and work promoting Filipino art and culture on the world stage. The Senate adopted Resolution 370, which was followed by the House of Representatives with House Resolution No. 93, both honoring the girl group as being the first P-pop group to perform at Coachella.

Honored With the Billboard Global Force Award

During the Billboard Women in Music 2026 last April, BINI added another award to their closet when they received the Global Force Award. Fresh from performing at Coachella, the honor signaled that BINI’s impact is going beyond the country’s shores. It was a moment not just for them, but also for other Filipina artists who have been striving in their industry and OPM. And, in doing so, the group became just the second OPM artist in history to receive the award, following Sarah Geronimo in 2024.

Being Featured on Forgotten Island’s Official Soundtrack

DreamWorks Animation’s Forgotten Island broke new ground as a celebration of Filipino culture and mythology by a major American studio. That energy extended to its official soundtrack, which featured multiple Filipino artists, including BINI. The P-pop girl group was tapped to sing one of the movie’s most pivotal tracks, A Parallel World.

Being included in the OST was already a moment for the group, but the fact that BINI can add having their own original song in a Hollywood movie to their resume was the cherry on top. Also, as part of their promotions for Forgotten Island, BINI made a surprise appearance at San Diego Comic-Con 2026 for a special performance of A Parallel World, becoming the first P-pop group in history to perform at the major pop culture convention.

Vieying for Potential Grammy Nominations

As 2026 has proven, the sky’s the limit for BINI, and the group has set their sights on breaking the next barrier: receiving their first Grammy nomination. To that end, the girl group launched their campaign for the categories they’re aiming to score nominations in: Best Asian Pop Music Performance for Unang Kilig, Best Song Written for Visual Media for A Parallel World, and most notably, Best New Artist. BINI is admittedly up against tough competition, but given that they became the first Filipino act to perform at the Grammy Museum earlier this year, don’t count the girls out.

Being Named One of the Country’s Newest Tourism Ambassadors

BINI’s popularity doesn’t stem from just their music, but also from how they unapologetically embrace their heritage in everything they do, from their songs, music videos, costumes, and the like. In turn, the group has been introducing Filipino culture to their international fans and those who are becoming more interested in learning about the Philippines through their exposure to BINI’s music and content.

It’s this fact and more that led the group to be officially appointed by the Department of Tourism as one of the country’s tourism ambassadors last July. BINI isn’t just a P-pop girl group, but cultural figures representing the Philippines on the world stage as they champion the country and its culture through their growing global platform.

Dropping the Signals EP

Just before Weekend 1 of Coachella, BINI treated fans to the release of their latest EP Signals, which contained six new tracks. It highlighted the girl group’s penchant for catchy hooks and melodies, while also showcasing how they haven’t lost touch with their Filipino roots, as heard on Unang Kilig, even as they make inroads with a global audience, thanks to tracks like Blush and Sugar Rush.

Their Historic Kids’ Choice Awards Nomination

BINI isn’t just rubbing shoulders and performing with international stars like Laufey; they are also seen as one. Need proof? The girl group was recently nominated for Favorite Global Music Star at the 2026 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards as Asia’s representative. The nomination puts them alongside fellow nominees and global powerhouses Taylor Swift, Olivia Dean, Zara Larsson, Tyla, Karol G, and Tame Impala, making BINI the only Filipino and Asian act in the category. You can vote for them here.

Going on Their Biggest World Tour Yet

From Manila to Hawaii, BINI has been busy traveling to all four corners of the world thanks to their Signals World Tour that kicked off last June and is expected to conclude in November. The tour began with two sold-out shows at the Mall of Asia Arena, before they flew to Cebu to become the first-ever artist to hold a concert at the newly opened SM Seaside Cebu Arena. Since then, they’ve been to multiple cities across the US and Canada, as well as Australia and New Zealand, with shows in Singapore and Taipei still on the docket.
