Actors Nadine Lustre and Donny Pangilinan were seen on the runway of BYS Fashion Week, head to toe in Rajo. Did you spot them?

Both of these actors had the privilege to walk the runway of BYS Fashion Week, specifically for RAJO MAN—a collection dedicated to the vulnerabilities of men. However, this isn’t the first time they have worn Rajo, wearing them on different occasions. Rajo, on the other hand, isn’t only familiar with these two, this isn’t the first time he’s designed and provided the actors and their families with amazing ensembles. Here’s how Rajo became a staple in Nadine’s and Donny’s wardrobes:

The designer has worked with Ella Pangilinan, Donny’s sister from her prom dress to her wedding dress. For Ella’s wedding, they brought her mother’s wedding dress made by National Artist Jose “Pitoy” Moreno, and reworked it with the help and vision of Rajo Laurel, transforming the gown into a fusion of Ella and her mother Maricel Laxa.

Donny and Ella’s mother, Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan, is one of Rajo’s childhood friends. The designer himself shared via Instagram, “It is not everyday that one gets to wear her mother’s wedding dress for her own wedding. This recently happened with the wedding of @ellapangilinanx who happens to be the daughter of my childhood classmate @mommymaricel I have known Ella almost all her life. She would always accompany her Mother to my studio and I recall her fascination for fashion and love for design.”

Now, it is Donny’s turn to be blessed by the hands of Rajo himself, walking his first runway show as a model in BYS Fashion Week. And hopefully, it won’t be the last.

Rajo Laurel and Nadine Lustre

The critically-acclaimed actress, on the other hand, has worn Rajo’s archival pieces in two separate occasions. In Paris Fashion Week 2023, Nadine wore a black, almost sci-fi looking dress from Rajo’s 20th anniversary collection entitled “Full Circle.”

The actress also wore an archival Rajo piece when she was awarded the Best Actress in a Lead Role and the Female Face of the Night at the 2023 FAMAS Awards. Nadine Lustre donned a fringed “swing” terno which swung and swayed as she walked. To match the actress’s golden morena skin, Rajo opted for nude, beige color.

And recently, she graced us with her presence in Rajo’s show by returning to the runwayon the first day of BYS Fashion Week in masculine style, supporting the designer’s vision of vulnerable masculinity: RAJOMAN.
