Mika Salamanca’s blue carpet appearance wasn’t just a redemption arc; it was a statement of a woman stepping fully into her power. Clad in Mak Tumang, the PBB Big Winner glowed in sculpted, glass-like textures—a vision of both softness and striking volume.

Bridging Eras
Stylist Myrhh Lao To revealed that Tumang was the Grand Winner’s first and only choice—and the designer certainly gave it his all. In an almost fantasy-like silhouette, the gown’s crystal-embellished sculpted bodice looked like it molded itself to Salamanca’s figure, creating a strong yet soft feature. The wispy feather-trimmed neckline exhibited movement and drama to the body—a stunning contrast to the bodice, while the crystallized skirt gave the actress an otherworldly glow under the lights.

But beyond complementing Salamanca’s figure and star quality, it is also a nod to the Filipino entertainment scene. “The gown’s structure pays homage to the grand, almost operatic drama of old-school Philippine television, while the sleek transparency and contouring give it a modern, youthful edge,” the stylist explained. The gown was a bridge between eras, between old and new—just like what GMA and Sparkle do.
“Mika has always had that quiet magnetism, and this gown amplifies that,” Lao To mused. “It doesn’t overpower her, it lets her shine.” And indeed, she did.
Glowing From Within
Of course, Salamanca’s makeup didn’t go unnoticed. To support the fantastical gown, makeup artist Mariah Santos crafted an ethereal-meets-modern bridal look. With her focus on soft, glowing skin and delicate blush tones, it resulted in a dreamy, romantic finish.

The Grand Winner’s glow didn’t go unnoticed, thanks to light-reflecting skin tints, cream blush, and liquid highlighter for that lit-from-within glow. Softly defined, her eyes were dusted with champagne shimmer and fluttery lashes, finished with a nude-rose lip.
Regal on the Carpet
“Mika is a dream to style,” the stylist shared, and Santos agreed. “Clear vision, super collaborative, and so grounded; She brings the look to life effortlessly,” the makeup artist added. Salamanca is incredibly trusting, yet she knows exactly what she wants: to elevate. And her style and glam team has always understood the assignment.

Lao To vividly recalled the moment when the team brought all the elements together to complete her look: custom-made Jefferson Si platform heels, Neil Felipp clutch—a nod to Salamanca’s dragon zodiac sign—and the JJ Jiao jewels—everything was falling into place. “Mika’s face lit up as she whispered, “I’m so excited.” We all had goosebumps,” the stylist recalled.
But that’s where Lao To was mistaken. The moment Salamanca stepped onto the blue carpet, all eyes were on her—and as we took in her dazzling presence, chills ran down our spines.
