After joining Cartier as their newest global ambassador, Elle Fanning is living the life of royalty
Apart from being one of the most sought-after actresses of her generation, even becoming an Emmy-nominated actress at just 24 years old for her lead role as Catherine on The Great, Elle Fanning is also now the latest addition to Cartier’s roster of sophisticated and influential ambassadors. Along with this new appointment, she joins Cartier as the face of their Grain de Café collection.

Elle Fanning, who gained a bigger following by portraying Princess Aurora or Sleeping Beauty on Maleficent, seems like she is further embodying the princess role—but in real life. At the recently concluded Met Gala, the partnership between Elle and Cartier was celebrated in a very unique way as the actress arrived at the steps of the Met not just in a beautifully crafted dress and headpiece that was reminiscent of her early memories with Karl Lagerfeld, but also donning Cartier’s Grain de Café necklace and ring in yellow gold, white gold, and diamonds.
“I am so proud to become Cartier’s Global Ambassador. The Grain de Café collection embodies so much of what makes Cartier’s style and savoir-faire unique; from exquisite goldwork to the precious transformation of an everyday object. It is an honour to become the face of a creation that brings together elegance, glamour, and radiant femininity.”

But what makes this even more royal for Elle is the fact that when the collection was first launched in 1938 by one of Cartier’s former creative directors, Jeanne Toussaint, it then became an iconic jewelry collection in the 1950s. This led to Princess Grace Kelly of Monaco, who was the newly crowned princess at the time, adding the pieces to her ensembles that very quickly elevated its aura of glamour and sophistication in a global aspect even more.
Cartier deemed it fitting that Elle Fanning would be chosen as the new face of the Grain de Café collection, whose campaign is inspired by the personality and elegance of Grace Kelly.
