It is a union of historical design and advanced technology with this new limited timepiece from Maison Cartier

When someone wears a timepiece, it speaks not just of the possessor’s status. There lies an homage to heritage, a devotion to craftsmanship, and particularity to detail—especially when it is Cartier.

50 years after its original model, Cartier reintroduces the limited edition Pebble Watch. Lines and curves meet halfway with the circular, 18-carat gold pebble case and the soft-squared eggwash dial.

With that, the blue hands also highlight the signature Cartier way of time-telling. The light brown calf leather strap finishes off the singular aesthetic of the Cartier Pebble, exuding sophistication and sealing harmony to the elements of the timepiece.

In the revival of this silhouette, the updated Pebble measures 36mm in diameter and 6.3mm in thickness, compared to the original 35.4mm and 5.3 measurements, respectively.

Always putting timeless elegance at the forefront, the Maison has been reviving its classic designs over the years.

This approach was most recently exemplified in 2021 with the release of 100 pieces of the Pasha Calendrier Perpétuel as well as the 100th anniversary edition of the Tank Cintrée, which was reissued in 150 pieces.

The Pebble, sometimes known as “The Baseball,” was originally produced in the 1970s at a time when London was going through a revolutionary shift in the arts.

This limited edition of 150 individually-numbered watches features subtle differences in proportion that distinguish it from the original model. It now houses one of Cartier’s flattest hand-wound movements: the Manufacture 430 MC movement.

With the Cartier Pebble, the legacy of Louis Cartier to define luxury beyond the hands of time lives on.
