For generations, women have been cast in an impossible role—expected to be everything and anything all at once. Chasing perfection has been an endless tightrope walk as the world watches and waits for a misstep. Fortunately, the tides are turning, and the pressure to be flawless is fading. She Talks Asia is tearing up the old playbook with its theme for the year: Brave Over Perfect.

For nine years, co-founders Bianca Gonzalez, Lynn Pinugu, and Iza Calzado have worked to amplify women’s voices. Through its annual summits, the agency gathers trailblazers and advocates to undo the narratives that have kept us small.

The ninth She Talks Asia Summit to be held on March 15 gathers a formidable lineup of women who embody this idea.
At the helm is model, advocate, and Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach who is serving as both co-chair and keynote speaker at the Summit. Alongside her, Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz, women’s health champion Anca Griffiths, and marine conservationist Anna Oposa, and more will be taking the stage to prove that it’s courage—not perfection—that truly drives change.

To date, She Talks Asia has raised 2.9 million pesos for Mano Amiga Philippines, a nonprofit that champions education and sustainable livelihoods for the underserved. Every ticket sold doesn’t only guarantee you a seat at the summit, but invests in a future where young girls can claim their own.
“She Talks Asia has always been passionate about amplifying the voices of women and creating spaces where we can have honest, necessary conversations about the realities we face,” She Talks Asia CEO and co-founder Lynn Pinugu shared.
“Women’s voices matter. Representation matters. And the world needs more stories of women courageously overcoming barriers.”
