In events as prestigious as the MEGA Ball, best dressed lists and style analyses often center on the gowns. Handbags and purses, by comparison, become secondary. Sometimes, even overlooked in the overall composition of an outfit.

But Miss Jay-Ann has always believed a good handbag can be the star of any outfit. She says, “You can wear something very simple, and a beautiful, well-chosen bag can instantly pull the whole look together and make it feel polished and stylish.”

Your choice of bag can make or break your look. Choosing the right one can either help establish a vibe or even help frame your silhouette. Most importantly, it helps showcase your personal style—which is something Miss Jay-Ann has always stood for. With her brand, Purse, Maison, she hopes other women could find the perfect piece to carry with them in their everyday lives.

“When you’re carrying a purse or bag that you truly love, it instantly elevates and complements your outfit. When you feel good about what you’re wearing and carrying, you naturally feel more confident,” she adds. 

Carrying Confidence

Of course, channeling that main character confidence goes beyond purses, handbags, and ornate ball gowns. At the end of the day, confidence is something that you have to find deep within you.

As Miss Jay-Ann puts it, “I just focus on being myself and feeling comfortable on my own. I think confidence comes naturally when you’re authentic and not trying to be anyone else.”
