Fashion has always understood the power of a good contour. Embellishment adds texture, sparkle, and craftsmanship, and is especially prized in bridalGo to Embellishment Glossary can draw the eye exactly where a designer wants it. At Fashion Week Asia, Lift Aesthetic Clinic together with Aptos Philippines turned this shared language of transformation into a runway proposition, presenting three collections that explored the relationship between sartorial construction and aesthetic refinement.

The concept was the brainchild of Lift’s medical director, Dr. Cyril Agan, who envisioned a “fashion show for the face,” with creative director Jan Tan Conadera lending his long-standing love of fashion to shaping the clinic’s point of view.

In collaboration with Viktor Manila and JustBonita, the shows made a case for fashion and aesthetics as kindred spirits, each with its own way of bringing confidence into focus.
Royal Rebel by Viktor Manila: The Power of Definition

Structure was the order of the day for Royal Rebel, designed by Ino Caluza of Viktor Manila. Strong shoulders, precise tailoring, and purposeful proportions gave the collection its commanding presence, with each line seemingly considered down to its last detail. The result was a wardrobe that felt unapologetic in its masculinity without relying on brute force.

Its aesthetic found a natural counterpart in Lift’s Sexy Jaw treatment, which focuses on sharpening the lower face and emphasizing its natural structure. Just as tailoringTailoringThe craft of cutting, shaping, and fitting garments, especially suits, jackets, and trousers, precisely to the body. Good tailoring relies on structure, proportion, and careful hand and machine work, andGo to Tailoring Glossary gives the body a more defined silhouette, a sculpted jawline brings clarity and proportion to the face. Both are exercises in precision, proving that sometimes the most impactful transformation comes down to getting the lines right.
Metamorphosis by JustBonita: All About the Butterfly

If Royal Rebel was about definition, Bonita Penaranda’s Metamorphosis explored transformation in a more fluid, feminine register. Body-conscious eveningwear with sparkling details celebrated the figure and conveyed a sense of becoming: delicate at first, then increasingly assured. The clothes seemed to capture that moment when a subtle change produces an entirely different impression.

The collection drew parallels with Lift’s Immortal Eyes, Diamond Skin Boosters, and SnatchTox treatments, which address the eyes, skin, and facial contours. Smooth, luminous skin and a refreshed, lifted appearance became the beauty equivalents of light-catching embellishments and carefully considered silhouettes. Here, metamorphosis became an expression of oneself. For Penaranda, a long-time client of the clinic, Metamorphosis was her personal journey translated to fashion.
In Pursuit of the Lift: Structure Meets Movement

(L-R) Giselle Sanchez, Eian Rances, Maria Gigante
Bringing the two designers together under Aptos Philippines, In Pursuit of the Lift explored the idea through contrasting design sensibilities. Penaranda brought softness and movement; Viktor Manila offered structure and definition. Flowing fabric and tassels evoked lifting action associated with Aptos Threads, while the garments’ lines demonstrated how form could be elevated without sacrificing fluidity.

The final message was elegantly straightforward: whether through a garment or an aesthetic procedure, transformation begins with understanding form. And when every line has a purpose, the result is beauty with staying power.
