Is it time to shelf the soap nails? No. The clean girl look is still alive (drinking her lemon water and doing Lagree), but if you’re craving something juicier, K-Beauty has you covered. Enter the ‘fruit peel’ nails. They’re exactly what they sound like: textures that mimic the sheen, pores, and pulp of real fruit skin. If you love your lychees and peaches that much, you might as well wear them, right?

As always, K-Beauty made the moment. The trend bloomed in Korean nail studios, where artists have been glazing hyperrealistic grape, lychee, and citrus on fingertips for a while now.

Grape nails that looked plucked off the vine? Citrus textures you can practically smell? While we’re just about to schedule with our trust nail tech to get them, they’re already on the hands of the cool girls in Apgujeong.

But it was never just about nails. This trend taps into the food-as-beauty wave we’ve been riding since 2023—and it still hasn’t spoiled. Glazed donut nails. Latte makeup. Strawberry face. It seems we just keep finding new things to crave.
If you’re looking to get a taste, we’ve rounded up a few suggestions (and favorites): Elinails, Maldita Nails, Omakase Nails, Nailee, Mieux Nail, and Nails by Lyka. Their styles lean fruity and glazy, or whatever else is ripe for the picking.
We may wonder: is the prevalence of this trend about how it looks? Appetite? Or the craving for beauty that just looks fun and doesn’t take itself too seriously? Whatever it is, food-as-beauty is here to stay. And if Korea says it’s in, you bet we’re ordering seconds.
