A Different Canvas
barenbliss has always been committed to its philosophy of Joyful Clean Beauty—finding ways to spark joy through skin-friendly products that empower people to express themselves. Just recently, it introduced two new enchanting shades to its best-selling Dream Chaser Quad Shadow palettes. This includes Pink Romance—a stunning mix of pink and earthy tones that will make you fall in love. An enchanting all-shimmer palette, Moonlight Fantasy, was also added. The brand collaborated with Elina Jung (EliNails) to develop custom nail art designs inspired by these shades.
Elina, known for her bold designs, has never shied away from using unconventional materials and methods. She shared, “Recently, I’ve started experimenting with 3D sculpting and printing of nails. I always try to put things on nails that people don’t usually consider—once, I even used a dead mosquito!”
Despite its initial difficulty, Elina managed to strike the balance between her own unorthodox style and barenbliss’ feminine aesthetic. She used the newest collection to create the designs for the collaboration—challenging the limits of what you can do with a simple eyeshadow palette.
With a sponge, she carefully pressed the shimmers from the collection to the base of the nails—expertly replicating the look of the trendy aura manicure. Custom charms were also glued on top, which includes a miniature replica of barenbliss’ eyeshadow palette.
Nailing the Art of Self-Expression
Using makeup for nail art may seem unconventional, but that is exactly the point of this collaboration. People are often burdened by rules and trends, to the point it inhibits their creativity. It should never be that way. Beauty should be fun—a value that Elina and barenbliss hope to instill among consumers through their shared philosophy.
“Some people are scared to change their aesthetic, but if you don’t experiment, you won’t discover what really works best for you. Hair will grow, nails will grow—so don’t be afraid to try. Try new styles, new clothes, and new colors,” Elina added.
