A Standout at Any Age: CJ Jaravata-Aldaba on Her Milestones and Ageless Skincare Routine

From believing common beauty myths to reframing her view on maturing, the actress-entrepreneur has let go of society’s passé view on aging through a routine she developed with Myra Ultimate

For years, women have been told that they’re supposed to look younger than their age. In the past, women were often told that they have to look, act, and feel a certain way in order to be considered beautiful, desirable, and youthful.

However, in recent times, women are more welcoming of the changes that come with growing older. As aging is a natural process we all go through, actress and entrepreneur CJ Jaravata-Aldaba has celebrated entering her 40s as a breakthrough towards a better life—through letting go of societal pressures and leading a positive outlook and lifestyle.

The new age

If you asked then-20-year-old CJ about one of her dreaded fears in life, the subject of aging would definitely be on her list. The pressure was indeed real, especially as a media personality seen in commercials, TV series, and movies. “That’s how I was taught [about aging]. I was scared to look old. Now that I’m 40, I honestly don’t feel old. It turns out, it was okay to be at this age. Instead, I feel like a better version of myself,” shares CJ. 

Had she known then what it would be like to reach her 40s, the Viva Artist would—in her signature gleeful demeanor—tell her younger self that there’s nothing to worry about. Entering her fourth decade, all of her doubts were quick to dissipate by reframing her outlook on life.

The list of her recent career and personal milestones is a testament to pushing for her dreams with such bravado that is also balanced by wisdom she’s gained through the years. From a movie that’s currently streaming on a global platform to strengthening her social media marketing company to adding a new business venture, CJ is on a roll.

Prepped and primed

What keeps the actress-entrepreneur going is a routine she religiously follows. Starting her day comes with morning devotions and affirmations, working out, and drinking her supplements. This regimen, which she says sets the tone for her each day, was a huge factor in changing her perspective on aging. She adds, “I started it by taking care of myself in body and in mind. That’s the key, really. Everything else follows.”
