Before she stepped onto the Chanel runway, Nigerian model Rachel Ojuromi was already turning the streets of Lagos into her own catwalk. Through her TikTok videos, she showcased bold outfits, confident runway walks, and a dream of becoming a model. Now, that dream has taken her from creating content online to making her mark on one of fashion’s most coveted runways.

The Power of Manifestation
For Rachel Ojuromi, modeling began long before she landed a spot on the runway. The Nigerian content creator took to TikTok and Instagram to document herself strutting through the streets of Lagos in stilettos and colorful, runway-inspired looks. In one video, she even donned angel wings, channeling the drama of a Victoria’s Secret model.
Her videos were a glimpse into the world she wanted to be part of. With every look and every walk, Ojuromi brought her modeling ambitions to life, turning everyday streets into her own personal runway.
One of her standout moments came when she recreated Chanel’s 2026 Métiers d’Art show, complete with styling inspired by the fashion house’s signature aesthetic. It was a fitting tribute to the very world she hoped to enter—and a way of showing her audience exactly where she envisioned herself.
Her videos soon caught the attention of viewers beyond her immediate following. Even artist SZA stopped by her TikTok video, commenting to ask how she could get signed. After six months of posting, Ojuromi eventually signed with a New York City-based talent management No Smoking, marking a major step toward turning her online presence into a professional career.
And then came Chanel.

Sometimes, a dream begins with simply putting yourself out there. She may have started by walking the streets of Lagos as if they were a runway, but she never stopped showing the world what she could do. Now, she’s taking those steps on a global stage—and proving that when opportunity meets preparation, the walk can take you somewhere extraordinary.
