The Style of Sound: The Best-Dressed Women at the 2nd Filipino Music Awards

As with every awards show, this year’s Filipino Music Awards had its own grand fashion affair on the red carpet, courtesy of Ashtine Olviga, G22, Regine Velasquez, and more.

By

The biggest names of OPM gathered once more for the 2nd Filipino Music Awards to celebrate how much the industry has grown through the artists who continue to move it forward. Generations and genres converged for a night that belonged to local talent, with the adding another expression of homegrown creativity to the occasion.

Of course, the icons couldn’t be forgotten. Regine Velasquez and Kyla looked wonderfully elegant in classic shades of white and gold, while the younger artists brought more playfulness through color, texture, and proportion. BINI’s Maloi and Jhoanna, for instance, stepped out in Martin Bautista creations, and Zephanie went all in on pink with a voluminous ball gown. G22 was especially delightful in coordinated suits and aviator glasses, each rendered in a different color. Sensuality had its place, too, with Michelle Dee, Joey Mead King, Kyline Alcantara, Arci Muñoz, and Marina Summers embracing skin-baring silhouettes.

The evening’s best looks already said plenty from afar. From striking shapes to interesting details, here are MEGA’s best-dressed of the night.
